Make a Coachella Lineup In Retrospective - COMPETITION!

Inspired by Coachella message board user Queenie Cupcakes' idea, and even more so by user menikmati's poster submissions from this thread. We are turning this into an actual official competition that will run through the end of Feb (at the latest).

This info maybe adjusted moving forward so always check this first post for updates. Here are the casual first draft details:

-Make a Coachella poster from a year it did not exist yet 1969-1998*.
(*1977 Winner already declaired, see below)
-You can only use bands who actually existed by the year of your poster.
-Do not put 'THIS IS FAKE' at the bottom.
-DO put the year on there upper right like in example below.
-Submit poster to this thread.
-Enter as many times or years as you want
-Do not over think this, you guys are asking too many irrelevant questions.

We will be selecting winning years as we go along and announcing them in this first post. The current plans are one winner per year.

Each person whose poster is selected as a winner for a particular year will get ONE festival pass. (If you already have a festival pass we will provide ONE VIP upgrade).

We might end up posting all the winning posters in the photo gallery on Coachella.com.

ohh, nah man I was talking about the House of the Holy album art..
but considering Zeppelin is on the bill I guess it would be acceptable;
i dont think PF or whoever is judging is even going to take it into account tho, so i dont think it really matters....
but i refrained from searching for pictures online because of copyrights and what not

Alright here is my submission... 1989 woohoo!! This took a lot longer than I thought it would but it's actually super fun!!

Here is my submission for the contest. The year I chose is "1986". I did my best researching to make sure the bands are accurate. Some bands/artist didn't have an album out by 1986 but were up and coming so I put them as smaller artist, e.g., Sinead O'Conner, etc.

Check your spelling on Madonna and The Ramones. De La Soul didn't exist until 1987. Phish didn't have a studio album released by 1986, so their following would have been minimal. The Who were broken up in 1986.
