The thing is, it's not just Thom Yorke. It's Thom Yorke and motherfucking Flea. That's some incredible synergy. It's a brand new sound that only a thousand or so lucky people in Los Angeles have ever heard live. I've never seen Radiohead live before, but right now- in these times- I would rather see the new act. And I can't believe I'm saying that.
My brother and I watched the videos of them playing last year and we were floored. The Eraser was full of kickass basslines and Flea made them his own.
I was at night one at The Orpheum. I really underestimated Thom and his band. They kicked major ass. There was booty shakin all night.
I thought they had already said that they were not touring this year at all.
