2. I will update this first post as we discuss changes that should be made.
3. Differences in opinion will occur, so let's discuss them logically.

I don't believe they would put a traditional sahara act against Tiesto, instead I expect Hot Chip or MGMT to close out the Sahara in much the same way as in 2007 when The Rapture headlined while Tiesto was on the main stage.

Yeah, let's see:

* Move MGMT up to Sahara headliner, knock everyone down 1 slot, swap 2ManyDJs w/ Guetta.
* Swap Corinne Bailey Rae with OCMS. Let's be honest, the pop acts always play early on in the afternoon on the main stage.
* Move Shooter Jennings to the OT in Portugal. The Man's slot, move Z-Trip into the late night Gobi slot.
* move Portugal. The Man to the Mojave in place of Les Claypool.
* move Les Claypool to the Outdoor Theater in place of Dirty Projectors.
* Move Dirty Projectors into Beach House's spot, move Beach House down into Corinne Bailey Rae's old spot.
* Swap Tokyo Police Club and the Raveonettes.
* Move Edward Sharpe to the Main Stage in MGMT's spot.
* Swap The Gossip and RX Bandits

That's more realistic.

That's a good point summerkid. Interesting. You could be right.

Although, are 2ManyDJs and Tiesto aren't all that similar?
Would having them conflict be an issue?

They are two completely different genres of DJs, clumsy.

And Hot Chip will not be in the Sahara again. They filled that place up to capacity TWICE. Time to move on up.

In 2007 Hot Chip filled the Mojave.

I had Hot Chip pegged for the Sahara again, and they did overfill it in 2008, right? I could definitely see them playing it again during Tiesto for the benefit of the more indie-leaning crowd that would rather set themselves on fire than watch Tiesto, and the crowd split would help with overcrowding. Otherwise, Outdoor.

Seconding the Les Claypool/Dirty Projectors switch

I'd say switch Sia/Tokyo Police Club

I don't think OCMS will open Main. I could see a switch with Connie, or maybe even Portugal.

Switch Zoe/Frank Turner. If not that, maybe Steel Train. I'm sure he'll be opening one of the stages.

Z-Trip before Porcupine Tree, I'd say. I have no idea who to switch him with, but everyone else who knows better than me have posted suggestions.

Maybe Raveonettes/Mew switch? I think Raveonettes will either close a tent or at least be one of the last bands in there at least.

Everything else looks pretty damn good though.

i see outdoor being Devo (sunset), MGMT (right before Muse), Hot Chip

i really doubt Flying Lotus or Pretty Lights play Sahara, but if they do, there is ZERO chance it will be AFTER Bassnectar... NONE.

i see Les Claypool being in your MGMT main stage daytime slot, or maybe an hour later on the outdoor, right before Devo (that i would prefer)

The more I think about it, MGMT --> FnM would be my guess
they're a mainstage band now (which I gotta give them props for. Going from mojave to main is a pretty big leap)

Why wouldn't Coheed close the Outdoor? Perfect band for Muse fans to flock over to after Muse finishes.

But somehow I think the fact that MGMT won't play daytime is a good reason for Coheed not to close the Outdoor in itself. I could either see MGMT and Coheed being switched or putting MGMT in between Dirty Projectors and Hot Chip.

Dead Weather>Coheed>Faith No More>Muse would be cool. Coachella booking never works out that way though, they don't put that much hard rock in a row.
