Buy from Ebay now or in 1 month?

Just a week ago the 3 day passes were going for $1500 but now they are going for $800. I need to get some tickets and was wondering if you guys think the tickets will be cheaper in lets say April than they are right now or not.

I dont want to waste more money than I have to.

I think you should wait. There may be more people realizing they can't go and there have been a number of relisted items. People who want to make a certain amount and don't will relist and over time the demand may go down or remain the same, but the supply on ebay may increase. I think in the end it may be like play-off game tickets.... last minute, people will want to let them go for less amount on money. Just watch it I guess (like you have). I know I got panicky when I saw the Sunday tickets go from $200 to $400 in a matter of 48 hours (on sites like ticketsnow, stubhub, etc)

No tickets w ent for 1500. It was people who posted wrong. They posted a 3 day pass as 3 (3) Day passes. It didn't go well and they didn't get paid.
tickets are going for closer to $700 not $800

I think the 3 Day Pass, Friday and Saturday price will continue to decrease, but not a chance for Sunday. Rage fans are die hard, especially here in Los Angeles. It's going to take an offer I can't refuse for me to miss Rage, $300 a piece isn't even close, I think many Rage fans have the same attitude.

i just payed 450 for my sunday ticket(rage is worth it 2 me) but i am waiting on the saturday ticket(saturday is not) cause i dont wanna pay that much....hopefully i find a cheap saturday ticket or else i will be going only friday and sunday.

Big day out tickets were going for about $280-250 or so at first, and i figured as demand was not met, the closer you got to the gig the higher the prices would be. Totally wasn't the case, and the tickets went down to an average of $200 or so (face value $125) but this pricing is totally insane, and by the sounds of things there are loads of people willing it pay it, but I guess the question is how many tickets have been bought with intention to sell and how many people are prepared to pay that. Once the desperate high rollers die off it will be a bunch of broke students hustling for tickets....maybe....

I'd wait until right before the show. Tickets will be going for face, I predict. The scalpers heard RATM say that this was gonna be a one and done gig for them, so they jumped in with both feet. But now Rage has announced more shows, making Coachella a bit less "exclusive" as far as RATM fans are concerned...

brokers will be looking to get as much as they can for their tickets, but when April 26 rolls around, they'll have no choice but to drop their prices back down to face or they'll have to eat the tix...

And I'd bet that the box office will probably be selling tix the day of show

Yeah, I am just going to buy them at the door. I have friends going, who can call me if they have any on sale anyways. Besides, you buy from e-bay the day of, and it takes a few days to receive it.

i think that some people might decide to sell their tickets if they are coming from abroad to see the rage.cuz they are doing more gigs and it might be cheaper to see them somewere else,you never no.if they can refund of change the dates of their flights.

That's a good point. I am going to get a RATM ticket to see them for longer, that's for sure. But would have been nice to get a little Manu Chau... but then again, he is playing for much longer @ Bonnaroo.

Kampy, thanks for your advice. My boyfriend always got tickets last minute, and for a good price too....sold out or not sold out!!

And people always have to sell last minute, that is just the nature of the beast.

they will probably not sell tickets at the door if they posted that its sold out. i tried that last year, even drove to the box office before they opened, and ending up buying from a scalper instead...

I would say buy before the end of March.
If some of the rumoured named get added (Morrissey and Price) ticket prices will skyrocket once again.

If you find a 3 day-pass for less or around 500, BUY THEM. Prices are going down right now, but surely GV will make additions, and if they are big names ie Portishead, SP, Morrisey, prices will increase a lot. They will be at that high price until a couple of days before the fest, and buying from ebay will take some days to get the tickets, at least you want to buy last minute a PDF ticket, which is NOT recommended.

You have very dedicated fan bases there, just as much so with bands like the Chilis and Rage. That may in fact help Coachella tickets a bit, there is going to be a lot of festival competition this year, and people only have so much money.
