    Default Dirty South

For those of you who read the line-up and skimmed right by Dirty South thinking to yourself "who the fuck is that", well here's a DJ you do NOT want to miss on Saturday.

If you like house, and I mean good house music not the commercial/cheesy stuff such as Kaskade, Tiesto, David Guetta (don't get me wrong, I love them as well and will most likely catch their sets), you should definitely watch out for him! He is definitely one of the biggest DJs of 2009 and will surely see much more of him in 2010. Check him out, and for all those Dirty South fans, show your love!

Yeah, and in my opinion, he's probably the best DJ in the entire line-up.

He plays mostly generic euro-house live.

he's not worth seeing, much like guetta, and tiesto arent worth seeing.

From reading your comment, I take it that you have never listened to Dirty South.

And if you mean euro-house that he's from Europe, then yes, it is euro-house. I don't think I've ever heard that term used since the 1990s...

For someone who started a thread and amps the guy up so much i figured you would know he was from Australia, not Europe.

Best DJ on the line up is just a dumb statement on your part though guy, he is very far from the best DJ on the line up. Learn who more of those artist are, Craze & Klever and Z-Trip are world class turntablist(real DJs), and you will soon realize Dirty South is average at best.

Dirty South was born in Serbia, and last time I recall Serbia was in Europe. He was 13 when he moved to Australia. And his house beats are european based, as you can easily tell if you listen to him

And I never claimed he is the best DJ, I just said "in my opinion", so saying having an opinion is dumb, well that just says a lot about yourself. I've heard all the DJs on the line-up, and I think they are all real talented in their own way. Saying turntablist are "real DJs" also really doesn't make any sense, because you are attending a festival that the house/dubstep/electro...etc outnumbers the number of turntablists playing. Z-Trip is a really good DJ, just like DJ AM (RIP), DJ Q-Bert, DJ Shadow, I won't take that away from them, but their style is WAY too different to compare and say they are real DJs and house DJs are just bad. That's your opinion.

This is my first Coachella, and I'm pretty excited too. All I was doing by putting this post is telling you guys about a DJ that was playing on Saturday, since I saw no posts about him. He is huge in Europe and is getting bigger and bigger in the states, specially after 2009. I'll guarantee if you like house music and listen to his set at Coachella, you'll appreciate him as much as I do. That's all.

I love house music actually, but Plastikman(aka Richie Hawtin) is 1,000,000X better than Dirty South. I saw Dirty South at Nocturnal this past year and i have his set from that night on my ipod, nothing that impressive but it is enjoyable and very dancable. 2manyDJs play electro house and will destroy anything Dirty South can do, i was just pointing out that your opinion is uneducated if you truly believe he is the best DJ on the line up. To each their own though, i will most likely be watching Dirty Souths set, but even you as a bigger fan than me has to admit his mixing skills aren't very special. Production wise he has some good tracks, but the best thing about his sets is the track selection, but durring his mixing it's a little off most the time.

generic is correct. he's nothing really special, just your run of the mill big room house DJ

in his defense, however, i'd see him over guetta/tiesto/benny benassi if i had to make a choice

If you cant learn to read, you're never going to get anywhere on this site.

Yes I read what you put, and I've heard him "live" (which by the way no one really uses that term unless the DJ is using a MIDI controller, VDJing, or using any sort of electronic instrument...etc) and his sets are far from being similar to Tiesto and Guetta's.

The only time I compared the two were when I said that they all werent worth seeing.

Get your head out of your ass and maybe you'll be able to properly read what I post.

Funny how you fail to comment on how I did not read your ignorant post correctly on an artist you most likely have never even listened to. You just go off rambling and making juvenile comments that have NOTHING to do what I initially posted. Sure its funny and everything, but it just points out that your an idiot, move along...

Man, why do people gotta try and put down so much around here? I didn't know Dirty South, but I checked him out before Bassnectar and he was awesome. Just because an artist doesn't play a guitar they are discredited by many of these people on this board. I'm tired of it.

    lol, duncesayswhat?

Piece of evidence #1 that you are indeed a moron:
Ive seen Dirty South live, and have a bunch of his tracks, so for you to say ive never even heard him is quite moronic.

Piece of evidence #2 that you are indeed a moron:

I never compared his music to guetta or tiesto's music, which you thought I did (because you're a moron - I hope you're still with me here), I have no idea where the hell you got that from. I said his set would be worth missing, must like guettas and tiesto's would be worth missing.

I hope you can understand all that, or was it too small for you thick pea headed skull?

I never said you never listened to him, I said that you "most likely" have never seen him due to your comments. I was wrong, but you never said you did, so it makes that irrelevant.

And "he's not worth seeing, much like guetta, and tiesto arent worth seeing", sounds like a comparison to me.

So next time, choose your words wisely smart guy.

LOL, chill man, you don't have to yell at your computer screen nor smash your keyboard, it's not their fault your mad.

And honestly, I don't even know you nor do I plan to, so this is my last reply to you. If it makes you feel better, you win, now go buy yourself a new keyboard since you probably broke yours after that last post, heck I'll even send you $20 bucks for being such an E-champ.

I'm pumped to see him there!!!
Recent studies at Yale have shown that being an asshole is detrimental to one's health. Professor Sweetlove, a Psychology professor, came on record as saying:
"Assholes and local desert rats tend to live shorter lives and have less consensual sexual relations than non assholes. It could be due to lower testoserone levels or a chemical imbalance in the brain but some people are just wired to be.... well.... assholes"
