Really excited that they are playing! "A Brief History Of Love" was one of my favorite albums of 2009.
Anyone caught them live? How are they?

Nice,nothing more.
They are tight live, but they don't move around much. They like strobes. They have a cool chick drummer. All of the band members are really solid. I love them, but wish I could have seen their faces better. It may have just been the venue (Empty Bottle) and it's lack of stage options. I can't wait to see them at Metro here in Chicago.
They are one of the bands I'm looking forward to since I really wish there was more sac on the lineup. There's a good amount on the top tier -- I just wish there were smaller bands with it.
Just got tickets to their show in Chicago in March with A Place to Bury Strangers. Should be great
I've seen them twice (El Rey, Detroit Bar) and the Detroit Bar KILLED. It's very dark lighting and I loved it. They don't mess around. They are there to play music. Going to see them again at El Rey 3/9. They are playing San Diego right before Coachella with Place to Bury Strangers. They are really cool guys.
I absolutely loved them at the El Rey in November. I remember them being even better than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised. Very loud, but not so distorted that you can't even tell what song they're playing. They sounded great for their first show in LA ever.
They are a good band, but I was upset that the lead singer in an interview said that he hated the Kinks and the Beatles and added "fuck the Beatles." I respect him if he is not a fan of their music but he did not have to do dissing them.
kroqken... are you fucking serious or are you really like that?
Like "what", the Big Pink singer really did say those things. In context, he brought up those bands because he is British and he was making a point that other British bands try to sound likje the Kinks and the Beatles and he does not. I am a voracious reader and I remember that interview and, henceforth, wanted to share that with all of you.
The Big Pink song "brief history of love" sounds like a rip off of "maps" by the Yeah Yeah Yeah's. Anyone else hear it?
this band <3 <3 <3
ARCADE FIRE & APHEX TWIN FOR COACHELLA 2011
They sound pretty f'n good live at least based on the videos I've watched. Surely won't miss them.
Awesome. Just got A Brief History of Love on Vinyl last week and made me realize how much I want to hear more from this band. Perfect timing.

Please check out my blog Sleeping is Giving In for some great mixes and other good things!
I'm craving new music by these guys. I couldn't catch their set in 2010 but a 2012 appearance seems likely with this new album in January.
