Driving in/out...

they definitely need to have an overnight lot for cars not being parked in "car camping" (which is a weird idea in itself — what is the point?). people need to be able to head into town to eat, buy supplies, use civilized toilets, etc.

A shuttle system would be so uncomfortable I think I'd rather stay behind at the site and deal with the limitations of having your stuff fry under the sun for 3 days. It'll limit the places you can go in town and the lineups will be 10 times longer immediately surrounding wherever the drop zone is. Suddenly it makes a lot more sense why we're able to do the in's and out's from the campzone this year, but if you can't go back to the campsite for fresh supplies from the show, what's the point?

the way they're going to have it setup, it wouldn't make sense to have cars in and out all day/night, nobody wants drunk people driving through where lovely people are sleeping in their tents

i mean if they are talkin shuttles every 15-20 minutes, and they're clean and air conditioned and free, i guess i can hang. it's just a bit sketchy when the man starts restricting your mobility...

granted, the people who park in car camping should not be able to drive in and out at their leisure, but there should still be a parking lot for those driving to the festival who do not share this bizarre urge to sleep next to their car

yeah, I just want a separate lot for my car. I don't want it parked in the campgrounds. More specifics are in this link that I gave at the top of this thread-

Zajaa, your point is entirely valid, but most likely that won't be an option

But think about it, cars have power/airconditioning/music/locks. I consider this a good thing, and I'm sure by the time April rolls around they'll have it all figured out

The question I'm still waiting on an answer from Psychic Friend is this-
There is the question in the FAQ- "Where can we park if we are camping on site with a group but want one or more of our cars available to drive out for supplies during the 3 day event?", the answer says "Stand By". Do you know when this will be answered?

the "how stricct are searches" question is retarded. you know what the laws are. if not, look them up. it's a third party security contractor, like every major venue, festival, etc. it's not the TSA or border guards.

free ain't happenin- they are charging $80-$90 for hotel shuttles so why would they provide free shuttles for campers?
