What are the advantages of buying VIP tickets? Is it worth the extra money?

VIP doesn't really mean VIP, it just means more expensive. Cost of regular ticket PLUS $339.00.

Plus it's much easier to get in and out, both from the grounds and the parking lot. Plus you have a much bigger selection of over priced alcohol. plus, sometimes it's cool to watch bands from the side stage or sound board area..

VIP wristbands don't give you side stage access. Those are wristbands are different. VIP gives you access to the fenced in area to the left of the stage which has shade, couches, a few video games, the aforementioned $ mixed drinks and sometimes air conditioned porta-potties. There are also tons of bimbos and douches in there to laugh at. Depending on your state of mind, it can be amusing.

not unless you also get backstage parking. which since there is hardly enough parking for the artists and surrounding fields are mostly for onsite camping, there wont be any of that

Well you can also find the same a/c bathroom thats in the VIP area in the festival grounds also. And that is all I used my VIP bracelet for when I was given one. You find the people who aren't there for the music and the plush couches do not feel good in the heat.
