Thread: MUSE

This will be the 31st time I've seen Muse, the first in front of an American audience, I can't wait.

They will play a predictable set list, they rarely deviate from tour set lists, and why would they bother in front of a crowd who isn't mouthing every lyric? Pulling out 'Falling Away With You' for the first time at Glastonbury would be amazing, it would be lost at Coachella.

I've seen them 6 times...and to me it seem that the larger the crowd the more amazing the show...sometimes it's the opposite. Intimate shows are amazing but fuck MUSE can play....

I've seen them about the same number of times, at Austin City Limits 06-07, Vegoose 07, Austin Music Hall 05, and a couple of shows where they opened (crowd sucked).

I made this video from my Vegoose experience where Rage played after them. It's basically Morello and Bellamy exchanging guitar solos and riffs.

Now we just gotta hope Porcupine Tree and Muse don't conflict right?

your video is insane. i wish i would have gone. Matt Bellamy said one of his fav bands is Rage. i doubt PT will conflict w Muse. Theyll be earlier in the day. Tiesto will prob be at the sahara tent conflicting w Muse. & i reallly hope they dont stick with their current setlist. they need to play sum old stuff.

Not so fast my friend... for remember they played this in LA a handful of years back:

And I personally have heard Space Dementia, Microcuts, and even The Groove since 2004.

They hook up their friends on this side of the pond too - I think they'll throw us Coachellaians a bone or two... I hope.

I saw them in 06 at Inland Invasion, but I was there for Alice in Chains and GN'R, and I had horrible strep throat. So I was cranky, didn't know them and didn't give them the time of day. Needless to say, I blew that one.

I look forward to seeing them now, especially since I've gotten a few of their albums.

Can't believe I ignored them at first

    Fourthisto: I hope so.

I'm very curious as to how the Coachella crowd will react to Muse.

I have to recommend the BBC Radio 1 'Live in Teignmouth' video which is available on all torrent sites. It's from their 'homecoming' shows that took place a few days before The Reistance was released.

It's only part of one of the shows (Uprising/Supermassive Black Hole/United States of Eurasia/Feeling Good/Starlight/Undisclosed Desires/Knights of Cydonia) but the video and sound are perfect and the crowd is insane. Tens of thousands of people doing the Starlight clap and outdoing the Wembley show with their soccer chanting to 'Knights of Cydonia'

    40 days 'til Muse!!!

Just saw them on Saturday and while I could really care less about the new album, they still put on a great show. Really looking forward to Coachella. Saw them for first time at Coachella in 04 after years of waiting for them and it's nice to see them finally headline.

Also saw them on Saturday. They played things old and new, but all played very well. Wonderful energy, phenomenal crowd, I don't think they'll bring disappointment come Coachella.

To anyone who has seen either the European or U.S. versions of the Resistance Tour, can you now see why the Coachella main stage will be custom to accommodate their production needs. The stage will be much taller due to the very large lighting rig Muse is touring with. The Outdoor Theater stage is no longer this year, bank it.

Yes, I was really impressed with the Boston crowd. Considerably better show than when they played at Agganis.

I also do hope they somehow get that stage setup at Coachella. Hard for me to see how but I guess it's it's possible.

visual epicness is important for muse. im pretty sure theyll bring their tall screen things with them to coachella somehow. on their last tour they brought all their eqip to the festival i was at in san diego and somehow fit it on their stage

He said they're replacing the old Outdoor with most of last year's Main Stage rig, and making a bigger Main Stage to acommodate Muse's show.

I just saw Muse rock the fuck out of a BBQ joint in Austin, TX. They played a small club show during SXSW and I was lucky enough to attend. It was my favorite set of the weekend. I took a few HD video clips and made a video:

    MUSE + TIESTO = ?

Hi Muse faithful, I've been entranced by Muse since I first heard Origin of Symmetry back in the early 2k. My favorite songs are Falling Away With You, Citizen Erased and Exo-politics. Just want to say hello and let you know I will be in the sea of ardent followers.

    thanks and <3 from Professor.

This setlist from Edmonton 3 nights ago changed a couple things up.

    Uprising
    Resistance
    New Born
    Supermassive Black Hole
    Interlude
    Hysteria
    Bliss
    Nishe
    United States Of Eurasia
    Ruled by Secrecy
    Helsinki Jam
    Undisclosed Desires
    Starlight
    Unnatural Selection
    Time Is Running Out
    Plug In Baby
    :Encore:
    Exogenesis: Symphony, Part 1: Overture
    Stockholm Syndrome
Knights of Cydonia+ Man w/ Harmonica intro

I'd say Coachella has a chance of Bliss, Citizen Erased, or Dead Star as far as rarities go.
And has everyone seen this April fools Muse put out?
