Default Yeah for the Soft Pack!

I am happy the Soft Pack is playing Coachella. They are a San Diego based band (formerly the Muslims) who have a garage rock sound to them (similar to the Strokes). I think this band has a bright future, even though the lead singer has a mild receding hairline.

My favorite Soft Pack song is "Parasites", it is almsot dangerous sounding, like the singer is about to lose control.

I really like them, I just wish they hadn't changed their name, no matter what they think of it.

Agreed. There is NOTHING wrong with the name "the Muslims." It was not an anti-Islam reference. They were just sick about being asked about what it means.

Most bands have an "image" to look a certain way. The lead singer of the Soft Pack is a refreshing change from these "packaged" bands that all have the same look.

I hope the Soft Pack really win a bunch of new fans and converts in April. They did a fre show in L.A. last December sponsored by that L.A. Record Magazine by I was unable to attend, unfortunately.

I would love it if the Soft Pack rechanged their name back to the Muslims when they are on stage at Coachella.

We booked them for our school before! Very cool guys and they totally deserve to play Coachella. The Muslims was a much better band name but at least it makes it a lot easier to find their music videos on youtube.

Hey kroqken why are you randomly adding people on myspace?

Your welcome, I do not have time to be random when I am almost 40 years old. I operate with purpose, like a viceroy at Petco.

They were pretty awesome at Vacation Vinyl. Glad they're on the bill this year.

Couldn't agree more with most of you...GREAT BAND!! I get notes of Velvet Underground with a slight bouquet of Agent Orange. The tannic qualities of mid-period Replacements are balanced, nicely, by the more floral notes of early-period Jonathan Richmond & the Modern Lovers (if raised on the West Coast where the waves are far superior, just sayin). And, you can definitely "Twist" (both literally and figuratively) to this band. I know I did in SF

I have that song on now for the tenth time since I heard it yesterday; a great song.

The Strokes?? I don't hear that comparison, I would say more like the Black Lips

These guys really deserve to be there, and I'll try my damndest to be at the set. They're incredibly nice folks.

I am a huge fan of The Soft Pack. I hope this doesn't offend too many people but they have such a minimalistic sound to them, the singers voice never really gets too out of control and the band never sounds like they are struggling with any of their compositions, but this is why I love them. I am a huge believer in less often being better than more. Can't wait for this set.

Agreed. I've seen The Soft Pack three times, each time opening for another band, and I'll definitely be seeing them again on Sunday. Glad to see them getting some overdue recognition.
