Thread: Saving my money for OUTSIDE LAND FESTIVAL

Thumbs down Saving my money for OUTSIDE LAND FESTIVAL

I am sorry but the headliners are getting worse (Jay-z and Muse... come on) and the prices are still outrageous. There really is no incentive to go this year, I am going to wait for Outside lands; at least its not a thousand degrees in san fran.

Well what do you want? Prices are roughly the same as any festival. Is Outside Lands so much cheaper. And better line-up...really? Pearl Jam, DMB and Tenacious D is infinitely greater than Jay_z, Muse and Gorillaz.

that festival is the worst organized festival i've seen in a long ass time. plus it has headliners like DVB and Tom Petty, keep those out of Coachella for me, thanks!

I spent $120 to see Jay-Z & Mary J Blige at Hollywood Bowl, and those were the cheap seats. I even paid $30 to see John Waters in Palm Springs. Tell me that Coachella is overpriced, what with all the acts & for all those hours of great entertainment. Coachella is a great value.

Oh, and it's Outside LandS, plural. But then again, you probably think you'd drive through Palm Spring when you're heading out to Coachella as well, so I guess it's a moot point.

When I went to Outside Lands, I watched one good band (Black Mountain), one band that was just aiight (Manu Chao, who, although they are great on CD kinda come off like the Long Beach Dub Allstars live), and one AMAZING BAND called Radiohead.
But the sound SUCKED and the system cut out for half of All I Need.
Now what kind of fest is that?

I haven't been, but I did hear from friends in SF that OL is a clusterfuck trying to get in and the sound blows. It's a new festival, so maybe it will get better with time, but it can't even be closely compared with Coachella...

lol Outside lands, I've been to both. None compare to Coachella.

I will however go again this year if anything good is playing. But will never be bigger or better than Coachella.
