    Default Modest Mouse?

And Oceansize would be awesome too.

I think both would add a lot to the festival.

Modest Mouse... ohhhh yeah. I've seen them once, quite a few years back and they had some instrument tech problems, but they certainly did a good job. Now, I'm interested in hearing their new sound with J. Marr.

unfortunately, I saw them last November, and out of a couple hundred shows I've seen, they were definitely in the worst 5 shows ever.....

I dig the new album though

Listening right now... about half way through. it totally sounds RUSHED and a mess!!! on first listen 2 good songs in the first half... but I really have to give it about 5 listens.

    Not so sure about Marr.

The last 5 songs are the best on the album. I really dig Johnny Marr's contribution to the band.

I saw MM in 2004 at the Eagles Ballroom in Milwaulkee, and they were awesome. I've heard so many people say their shows were terrible, I'm glad I got to witness a good performance.

Also I don't know whom is a bigger elitist music asshole, they guy who coined the term Modest Marr, or the people who actually repeat it. You couldn't say that in real life without sounding like a pompous condescending douchebag, and you come off the same way on the internet. It's not witty, it's not funny, it's not cool. Fucking snide bastards.

At the Grove? I thought they were pretty good. But then, I think they played 3 nights or something there. Maybe I caught a good one and you saw a shit one
    Read my Coachella articles: http://www.coachella.ehow.com/

Bands I'd love to see at Coachella '08: West Indian Girl, Menomena, The 88, Pigeon John

i missed out on their grove show, i saw them on the queen mary with lou reed and the black heart procession (awesome). I also saw them at weenie roast 2004, it was alright, it was mostly off of good news for people who love bad news. World at large was performed amazingly, but they fucked up the intro to float on at least 5 times before getting it right.

I'd like to see them, although I must admit their concerts are either hit or big miss. I just downloaded the new album, and some of it's pretty good but some of it is fucking horrible, so poppy, and Issac brock shouldn't be singing soft ballads (little motel) ahhh!!!! Don't know about this one, kind of dissapointing

I saw them at ACL fest in 04. They were pretty good, nothing special... I love their sound and lyrics. They would really fit the vibe of Coachella!

Hey man, give their new album a shot. It's waaaay fucking WAY better than Good News.. in my opinion, also better than Sad Sappy Sucker and The Fruit that Ate Itself. If they got added to the line up, I'd shit my pants. All time favorite band man, still never seen them live. Such a shame...

The last three songs are easily the best on the album. I think this album sounds like it belongs between The Moon and Antartica and Good News... There are only two or three overtly poppy songs. I love it. It's one you have to listen to from beginning to end. I think it's leaps and bounds above Good News....

Dashboard and Little Motel are the ONLY poppy songs. They start the album off with a noisy, hectic waltz, for god's sake. Compare that to The World at Large...

Spitting Venom brings them back to the days of Lonesome Crowded West/Moon and Antarctica.

I think this albm will sell fewer albums and yield fewer hits (aka less than one) than Good News.

I feel that... and Fuck yeah it's better than Good news. I feel like Isaac has a new energy about everything. Cant get enough of this album, favorite track has gotta be "Steam Engenius". Definetly feeling some Moon and Antarctica on this disc. I'm glad that I wasnt dissapointed, like I thought I was going to be. (not big on the smiths)

Friday. That sounds the most logical. Or Sunday. Or Saturday. Just not Monday.
