Until i actually participate in 2010, 2008 still has the best lineup.
Did they steal the new mountain background from one of the fake posters?
I still like 2007 best out of the other 3, but had to go with 2010. It's near-perfect.
Ron Paul 2012!
Upcoming Shows:
Four Tet
Coachella 4/20-4/22
Death Cab for Cutie/Magik Magik Orchestra
Radiohead
some other bands
Let me get back to you on April 19th OKAY?!
Moving past the initial shock and awe factor which the 08, 09, and to some extent 07 lineups possessed, I believe this lineup is the most well rounded and pleasing to the people around here. The average joe might say otherwise.
there still are some better 2 day coachellas better than the 3 days.
just sayin
The Glitter Freeze
Coachella 99-10 Vet, the run has ended in 2011
too early to tell. compare the initial reactions from 08 to 10. As far as initial reaction? 07 and 10 are my favs. but lets wait until after its over
Iron Maiden, Boards of Canada and Underworld for 2013

Nah, this fest has just operated the same, they just added a day. I don't see a concentration of a artists at all from 2-3 days
All the proof you need is LCD Soundsystem being second billed on any day in Coachella history. I love them, but thats the one that stands out as odd, and not very earned.
Also Vampire Weekend and MGMT so high up on the bill? I guess so? Again not complaining, but look at who was in those spots from 1999-2009.

I'll be honest 2010 is the first year that i'm legitimately excited about all three big names.
Still curious to see if Jay-Z is gonna clinch the top spot come April, either way I'm stoked.
Ooops. I just voted for 2010 when I meant 2009. I guess since the question was phrased with the word "was," I assumed that the last option on the list would be the last Coachella that happened, not the next one.
So I guess what I'm saying is that this is everyone's fault but mine.
Ummm...i'll get back to you in a couple months
It's hard to judge 2010, because there will surely be some adds of some kind... but it's gonna be pretty damn tough to beat 2008.
So. Um. As of today, Vampire Weekend is the #1 band on the Billboard album charts. They sold 120k copies of their new one. And as it so happens, they're not really a pop novelty act at Coachella, either; musically they fall pretty much perfectly in line with the rest of the festival lineup's 'indie rock.' This all leading one to believe that they are, in fact, probably one of the biggest indie rock bands in America right now.
Wanna take that back now?
As I said -- "they're not really a pop novelty act at Coachella, either; musically they fall pretty much in line with the rest of the festival's lineup's indie rock." So, no, do not bring on Britney Spears.
Regardless, due to the band's genre, combined with their recent sales figures, I am arguing that Vampire Weekend are one of the most popular indie rock bands in the country at the moment. A subheadlining slot at Coachella does not seem absurd to me for this reason -- such a billing is often given to the biggest indie rock bands in the country at that given time (Franz Ferdinand, Death Cab, My Morning Jacket, Bloc Party, Sigur Ros, Bright Eyes, etc. etc. etc.)
GO WATCH SOMEONE ELSE DURING THEIR SET. solved.
I would never want to belong to any club that would have someone like me for a member...
2010 over 2008? please.
of all the times i've seen the coachella lineup come out, 2008 is the one that had me most going "oh my god, oh my god, I wish I could go to that"
I went in 2009 and it was spectacular, it feels sometimes like they read my mind as to what I would want to see, getting acts like Sebastien Tellier, MBV, The Orb, etc
but this year has me way more excited than last year.
No se puede comparar una experiencia (2008) con algo que va a suceder (2010), por eso voto por el 2008 sin duda alguna
My name is Joe, but I'm no average Joe, buster. I say say what's the big idea boy

2007, tentativly till 2010 blows our minds
Coachella 2006, 2007, 2009, and coming soon: 2010
Although I like more bands overall this year. I had to say 2009 for Paul McCartney, My Bloody Valentine, Morrissey, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Chemical Brothers in one weekend. But maybe my answer will change April 19th.
