Honestly? For the very first night, when you still have 48 hours of festival left, I'd rather have him than McCartney. He's going to bring some energy to the crowd because he knows 85% of them don't listen to his music. McCartney had that like 90 minute block of his solo junk nobody cared to listen to. We were all ready for a nap before he got back into music we cared about.

for what its worth, i dont go tot he fest for the top of the bill anyways, i go every year and see stuff i like and find new bands, so yes i know how to enjoy it, and it is balance, however i think the top of the bill is shit ( my opinion)

i suppose i should leve room for the cunts that will think anyone on the bill is great because its coachella......

This is the first year that I'm not crazy excited for any of the headliners (I've seen all of them) but its also the first year there aren't any I'm going to actively avoid. So it evens out.

No, it's not only about headliners, but since they get more time and money than the other bands, they better entice you. I'd bump FNM into Jay-Z's two hour headlining spot in a heartbeat if I could, and sprinkle that money down to the subheadliners.

Still a very good lineup, but there will be plenty of folks who don't like Jay-Z and Muse. Gorillaz is such a feed good band (pun intended) that I can't see folks getting too upset about them, especially since they play so rarely.

Lineup isn't bad. Sunday is the strongest day. Wish there was a big name on the bill that no one predicted, though. We all kind of knew about these ones...except De La Soul. That wins.
