I would have thought this show would have been here already but Orbital at Nocturnal Wonderland in September. I HATE these all ages rave shows, but there are a handful of amazing acts (Pretty Lights, Gui Boratto, Royksopp to name a few) so it is definitely worth it for me to make it out to San Bernardino for this!
Maybe a one-off show in LA before or after?? Fuck I hope so!!

I doubt they play a one off. and its not all ages.
There is a day between the Nocturnal show (they are playing that Saturday, the 22nd, if their Facebook is to be believed) and the San Francisco gig. I really hope there is not a radius clause keeping them from doing that, because as much as I would like to go to San Francisco for their show there, I'd prefer something a bit more local.
I just read that Orbital scored the English-language remake of Nicholas Wending Refn's Pusher, which premiers at TIFF.

San Francisco show? I am going to have to get more details on that because I would definitely prefer SF to SB! I thought Nocturnal was an all ages but I guess not. Even better...

SF show is all ages, but you won't really have to worry about it, kids dont really know who orbital is
Orbital could be 25+ without impacting ticket sales.
"How long will this last, this delicious feeling of being alive, of having penetrated the veil which hides beauty and the wonders of celestial vistas? It doesn't matter, as there can be nothing but gratitude for even a glimpse of what exists for those who can become open to it."
Very true...
Oddly, I don't want to pay $150 + fees to see Orbital at a two day festival rather than seeing them at their own show, were the tickets are, at max, $35.
Oddly, since going to Coachella ever year now for the past few years, i can say that I have heard this so much said to me about Coachella's line-ups... it's just funny and ironic to be on the opposite side of that trope.
Current Orbital 2012 US Dates:
Fri, Sept 21 - Nocturnal Wonderland, San Bernandino, CA
Mon, Sept 24 - Regency Ballroom, San Francisco, CA
Thurs, Sept 27 - Decibel Festival, Seattle, WA
Sat, Oct 27 - Moogfest, Asheville, NC
That's a month between the Seattle/Asheville dates. Maybe there's a nice US tour brewing...
I'd love to see Orbital again but I'm way too old to be going to a big silly NOS rave an hour and a half drive away.
I suspect the majority of Orbital fans are the same. It's going to be sad and empty at their set.
I LOVE Orbital and there's no fucking way i'm going out there to that.

Look what happened when Underworld was booked for HARD. Underworld fans didn't want to go to a massive rave and the kids who went didn't care about Underworld.
