by the way, did anyone else hear that kenny chesney sold more concert tickets than any other musician last year?

Because Kenny Chesney fans don't follow Kenny Chesney across the country every year instead of, you know, working and contributing to society. Can someone post that "looking for a miracle" picture.

The problem with Ministry is that their audience is almost evenly split between death metal fans who never heard any song before Psalm 69, and longtime fans who tolerate the songs AFTER Psalm 69.

I saw them a few years back, when they had a never-ending string of generic nu-metal bands opening for them...Nothingface (awful), Lollypop Lustkill, (huh?), and Moto-something (mind-numbing). Everyone over 30 was sitting down clawing their ears off.

Then Ministry comes out and everyone gets along for a while, until they bust out something from "Twitch". Half the room can't believe their luck, the other half is mumbling "what is this Depeche Mode shit?"

Last year, Al actually opened for himself, resurrecting the Revolting Cocks. (Which is the reason I went.) Half the crowd were off drinking Jager shots and wrestling each other, even though RevCo's show was 10 times better than Ministry's.

Dammit, I knew I should've gone to see Revco. I was thinking that since it was mostly new people (and no Chris Connelly!?) that it would probably suck; sounds like it didn't. I think I've seen Ministry about 4 or 5 times, the last time being the tour BEFORE the tour with the Cocks. After that one I definitely felt that Al was getting sucked into nu-metal oblivion... haven't bought a record of theirs since "Filth Pig"...

For the record, I would've been on the "wow, something from Twitch!" side. I'll never understand why Al & Co. strayed so far from the path they were on between Land of Rape & Honey and Psalm 69... I think Skinny Puppy has proven that there is a lot of room to maneuver within that genre without reyling on total nu-metal shite...

I am DEFINITELY going to catch Skinny Puppy when they come around... Mythmaker ain't no Last Rights, but it's good enough to get me to the show...

Oops...you're right. I've never heard of him before. Generally, Comedians Of Comedy are the four names on the top of the poster, plus a couple of others who fill in sometimes (but aren't coming to Coachella.) Everyone from Blaine Capatch on down are not usually billed as Comedians Of Comedy (though Patton talks about Capatch in the CoC documentary.)

I'm pretty sure almost everyone else is from Upright Citizens Brigade. Definately the "muscle" guy (Rob Riggle?) and the FBI agent (can't remember his name.) Rob was also on SNL VERY briefly, then wisely jumped to The Daily Show.

Almost everyone else (including FBI guy) are also regulars on Best Week Ever.

Hopefully, a few bands will let "Mr. Tickle" come out and introduce them.
