    Expensive hard liquor, shaded couches, a chance to mix and mingle with bands, and celebrities. That's about it.
    If someones selling a wristband for a reasonable price it's worth it. The VIP area has become a staple of my mid afternoon's at Coachella.

    Worth it? Of course the worth depends on your resources and perspectives. Here's some pictures from my time in the VIP last year:


    Ran into Huell Howser.


    Saw Perry doing an interview.


    They had this air conditioned cocktail lounge.


    Big ol misting thing a ma jig.




    A smoking lounge.


    Couches in the shade.


    The main bar area during MBV.




    There tends to be different food and shorter lines.



    i have other pics over the years, but am being too lazy to go digging. Some say the bathroom lines are shorter, but last year i didn't notice much of a difference there. There were both trailer and port a potties. Lines for trailers were obviously longer.

    there's an amazing thai food place in the back of vip that is highly reccomended...

    they have way more organic/raw food options...

    the hard liquor is expensive and they have maybe 1 second pours, maybe...

    they do have a coffee shop...

    then again, who wants scalding hot coffee at coachella?

    celeb watching is always fun, my pics are never as good as ivankay's so I won't even try...

    did I mention celeb watching? Meeting my favorite redhead was pretty awesome thanks to those pricey little badges...

    yeah v.i.p. is fun for the same thigns everyone said. comfy couhes, shade, sometimes cleaner bathrooms, shorter food lines, celeb watching/meeting bands. its not really worth shelling out the $$$$ though.

    lolla vip is the only way to go. At least with them you get unlimited drinks & food all weekend, so it is worth it in that regards, that is if your planning to get drunk instead of watching the bands.

    I've been fortunate to get VIP for free the last few years, and I take advantage of the restrooms, occassional shade lounging and the misters. I don't know that I would pay more than $25 a day for it, if I had to. Air conditioned restrooms are pretty sweet though...
