Probably going to pass. Not a good time for me to be skipping town, work-wise. And I don't want to take the tickets away from someone desperate to go, if I won.

NJ is technically an "I'll Be Your Mirror" event, not a residential festival.
I see. I really don't know much about it (obviously).
I was also wondering why they call it "I'll Be Your Mirror." Is there some sort of VU connection that I'm unaware of?

Technological advancement has made enough changes almost in all the areas of working where people show their interest and want to upgrade the process of doing and performing that sort of task. Nowadays, the reason of spreading the technological advancements in almost all the areas of working has become essential in order to be referred as well organized and well developed state. It used to be the ideas of people that the advancement in only education and health care services can lead a country towards the success but in real it is not the case. No doubt, advancements in medical services and educational areas of working are essential and play a role of backbone in the success of any country. But none of us could consider these both as only areas of working that require the improvement and enhancement. Now comes what next to the education and medical services, there is a trade and commerce industry that is linked with a large number of multiple benefits that people of the country would have, if they had such a nice setup regarding trade and commerce.
Amazing.Music industry is a sort of industries that could not show a stable impact to the lovers and fans of the music. It is highly uncertain and people love the changes that occur in music industry. If any singer is being listed on the top of the ranking right now, so with the release music of any new artist, he can lose his place and the new one would have a free hand to grab his position. Similarly, the director and composer can also lose their prostitutions, either with the launch of their low quality work or another’s high quality of work.

Prior to deciding on a concert, every band or artist has to identify its or his strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. So it proves to be very important to conduct a so-called SWOT Analysis. Strictly speaking a SWOT Analysis is able to reveal any glaring loopholes and problem areas that may affect the success of a concert.
*based upon tedious fact checking.
I downloaded a FLAC version of Ys last night (all I had was a crappy 192bit copy), which led me to discover that it will be 5 years old this coming Monday - and it's still as amazing as it was when initially released. That is all.
Also, thanks for the info re: ACL, bmack - I missed your post when you submitted it last month.

Ys might be my favorite vinyl purchase ever. LOVE the presentation... and the music ain't bad either.
So she's playing the Jeff Magnum curated ATP event at Minehead in the UK in March next year. Maybe she could play Coachella too? This would please me so so much.
Just saw this performance for the first time the other day and it's seriously one of the most beautiful/amazing things i've ever seen.
It was just announced that Joanna's ACL taping will be airing on the 21st!

^ Thanks for posting that link; for some reason my local PBS channel here in LA didn't air it last night![]()

Drag City just posted this on facebook, an instrumental of hers from 1999. It's pretty.

They also had a small tidbit in an earlier post that said she was currently writing new material, so. . .bump.
So, June 25 she is playing a benefit for the Henry Miller theater at the Warfield in San Francisco. From Pitchfork:
"Phillip Glass, Joanna Newsom, and Tim Fain will perform selections from both Glass' and Newsom's discographies, as well as new, collaborative works."
COLLABORATIVE WORKS. GLASS AND NEWSOM. FUCK.
I saw that today and was like..."how is this going to take shape?"
Do we have any dates? I think I will have to go...as long as it's not like $100+ or thereabouts. Coming up for it?
