I know I started this thread, but I haven't had the desire to watch it yet without Paula. I think this will be the last year for this fad of yesterday.

How can possibly cancel the biggest show (viewers) on the air at present. Besides, when they go to hollywood and Ellen comes on, it might really be better then Paula even ........cr****

I must say though that I was hella impressed with Katy Perry and NPH as guest judges. They both brought the LOLZ + some actually helpful critiques. Can we replace Kara and Randy with them full time?!

Not getting too into anyone quite yet, as you never know who will make it to the big show, but I really liked Tourettes guy, the tall jazz tv chick and that Todrick kid from last night. But I seriously wanted to vom during the Barney/Dominatrix chick. Apparently, pleather = grown up? It's like a little girl putting on her mothers high heels, you may feel like a big girl, but they don't really fit. Trying too hard, and her voice was just meh.

Yeah, no rock stars breaking out yet. The 2 stand out guys are Aaron and Casey and i think they are just ok. Aaron is the guy with a great voice and some pro moves. Casey is more an entertainer (i like his guitar playing). i got my early money on Crystal. She's a kick ass singer, appears to be unaffected and she should get a solid block of the female vote.

Ellen is absolutely not working for me. She makes me miss Paula's unpredictability.

Agreed Becca. Carol Brady's voice was consistently interesting. Too bad he was such a pussy and would just freeze up there and never get any command of the audience. 2 hot blonds going instead of Paige (that "Smile" should have been a kiss of death song) and Grandma's Girl is a bummer.

The kickoff show last night was a bloodbath. Toddrick was expected, but I thought Lily, Alex and Katelyn had garnered enough good will to make it to the top 12.

I honestly can't believe Paige, Aaron, that kid with the helmet hair, and that chick with the red hair made it in over them. Even former front runners Katie and Andrew have been hella disappointing thus far.

I really am gonna miss Alex though. I genuinely love the quality of his voice and thought he had real potential, but I think he was just too young and inexperienced to breakthrough on stage. He seemed really wrecked after he got the boot as did his castmates. He seemed like a sweet kid and I hope he gets another big chance someday in a less cheesetastic/manipulative platform.

I am consistently less and less excited about this season. I know everyone loves Crystal and Mike, but for me they are just ok (dawg). I really only actively care about Didi and Siobahn at this point. Casey and Lee can both stay because I like to look at them, even though I hate Lee's whole nickleback/hinder/hoobastank sound, but he has really pretty eyes and he seems like he's trying to be more awesome than that particular box they've got him in, even if his voice won't let him.

Q: You got robbed. Do you think it might have been your song choice that got you eliminated? You talked about the fan base, but do you think it was your last song that did it?

A: Yes and no. I feel that I picked the right song. I love Patsy Cline and that describes who I want to be as an artist. I think that the American Idol voting demographic are tweens and girls. And I'm sure that they don't even know who Patsy Cline is. I'm staying true to my song choices. I have no regrets. The audience I was playing to probably wasn't voting, except in their hearts. Or maybe people assumed that I was safe and chose not to vote. I don't know what happened.

Or, you just sucked ass with that song.
