I swear to god you guys are the most obnoxious group of people I have ever had the misfortune of posting with on a message board. Every time there's hype of the possibility of a large act performing you guys go to the extreme, making up your own little reasons as to why you believe what you believe and then get so sure about it that you get super pissed when an idea that was stupid to begin with is debunked.

Daft Punk is not going to be playing HARD, are you fucking retarded?

My goodness, the though of seeing them for the first time with a Hard crowd is a little nauseating.
Seriously. HARD is good fun and all, but some acts won't get the crowd and appreciation they deserve there.

8/30: Peaking Lights @ The Chapel
9/3: Bear in Heaven @ The Independent
9/11: Tomas Barfod @ The Rickshaw Stop
    9/12: Shifted @ Mercer
    9/24 - 28: Decibel Festival

    10/4: Ought @ BoH
10/5: The War on Drugs, Cass McCombs @ The Fillmore

I cut that a little short when I said, "...first show in the states,..." To be accurate: Leftfield will never play a hard event ever, ever.

Goldenvoice promoting a show or two on the other hand.... Would fly down, no question.

also, everyone's fav bitching go-to, HARD Summer, was NOT oversold... it wasn't shut down because it was too crowded.. there were 2600 empty seats next to me..
people not wanting to sit in seats and jumping to the floor and having so little hired crowd control that it got shut down, has nothing to do with how many tickets were sold..
I'm going to just keep saying it.... the fire marshal was under the impression Hard Summer @ the Forum was going to be a seated concert.

People not wanting to sit in seats? yea well no shit.... but the jumping onto the floor shenanigans, etc. didn't really help convince the marshal that the night was 'under control'.

rofl wes.... are you serious? Leftfield? I'd love to think they have that much of a draw that they would be a viable option, but kids still barely know who Underworld are...We'll be lucky if Leftfield decides to tour next year, let alone visit North America.

The highest caliber act I believe Hard has a chance at producing at this point is The Prodigy.

if daft can sell out the sports arena, then why not play a 25,000 capacity venue?

and daft selling out three nights, makes me think Hard is even more likely, no matter how dumb it sounds.. surely EDC could get them, and they'd probably book their own gig sometime during their tour..

jesus, Daft Punk main stage at EDC, 100,000+ and thousands wouldn't even be able to get inside the coliseum to see it..

i know you're right.. jesus people, i'm just shooting the shit..

i already called Leftfield for Coachella 2011, they're this year's Orbital, touring europe, doing shows there, before making a grand debut here..

My point is that they don't need to be on HARD's line-up to accomplish that.

what people? that's retarded on all 3 accounts

the comparison between leftfield playing a HARD event and those 3 other acts playing a HARD event is not a good one

I like Dr Lufs-al-ot's logic, hahah. If Daft Punk are to play a show it'd have to becentered around them, like last time in LA at the convention center. As to who gets dibs on the DP night, AEG/Goldenvoice seems like the dominant hand in that relationship as they did it last time *COUGH* (biggest events promotion company in the world) AHHH SUPER CORPORATION!

IF anything I'd like to see our local up and coming, HARD, get Daft Punk that would be way tighter, Justice before Daft Punk and maybe a HARD Fav like Crookers or something... It could be like the HARD MIA show or something...
However back to the main point, it's unlikely DP will show up as a surprise guest, are you kidding? I hear they hate DJing.

    Daft Punk at HARD....

    Right...

They will most likely get Justice/Busy P/SebastiAn (Live) and some dubstep act. Maybe book one LCD-esque act to keep all the cool kids happy.

Every HARD event is pretty much the same, so no difference in reading a 2 year old thread compared to one started 3 months ago where people speculate the greatest show ever, only to get Justice/Busy P and some dubstep act when the lineup is released.

Perhaps it will be DATSIK this year since Skrillex is too cool now

first phase of the lineup is out. I dunno I really don't think it's that great. No, you are wrong. GTFO with your " I got over Bloc Party when I was a sophomore in highschool, everyone hates skrillex, beetroots are pretty cool" overly judgmental irrelevant BS.
