No California dates, U.S. run ends right before Coachella. Could it be time to bring back Tweedy and the boys? I sure fuckin hope so!! They are an amazing live band.

odd when you have money and have your travel paid for you there doesnt seem much reason as to why not. Bands dont always follow the state by state forumla.

Well try to convince those that see European or Asian tour dates within a month (forget about just a day or two) and rule them out based on that. Everyone has different ideas or theories but yes, an artist can play a fest in the USA today and in Europe or elswhere tomorrow. Is it the most common thing in the world? No. Have bands done it in the past? Yes.

Jeff Tweedy just played a random one off show in Phoenix with ZERO other western US dates around it.

If a band likes an offer and they can work it into their schedule, anything is possible.

They played the west coast over the summer. Tucson, Red Rocks, California, Oregon. They were all over. They will be doing the same this coming year. They hope to have yet another album out by Fall of 2010.

Wilco kills live. I haven't liked their last 2 albums, but the stuff from Being There until A Ghost Is Born sounds just as desperate, raw and emotional as it does on the records, maybe even moreso. Miss them at your own peril.

I thought it was better than Sky Blue Sky and songs from both of the last two albums are great in the live setting. I almost never listen to Sky blue Sky but "you are my face" and "hate it here" are incredible live.

I would love this. Unfortunately, I was at Mike Watts birthday gig here in Long Beach last month, and Nels was there with his side project "Fig". Got to chat with him at the bar and asked him if they were doing Coachella. He said no, but at the same time said he's always the last one to find out. So, you never know.

Thanks for sharing that T-Rev. That's the type of info we look for around here. I didn't have my hopes up for it this year anyway and I didn't think it was likely. It will be a nice surprise if their name pops up on that poster though.

Off Sky Blue Sky I'd love to hear Impossible Germany or You Are My Face live. I just heard Yankee Hotel Foxtrot the other day for the first time, so I'm quickly becoming a big Wilco fan.
