So does anyone know what the set times for this are gonna be like? I've never been to a control event..and I see at least 5 djs. what time would you reccommend showing up if i wanted to catch acid girls, ladytron djshit, and vital-o?

EARLY... avalon gets fucking packed now and their door policy is very strict. I wouldnt show up after 1030

Mira will probably come on around 11.30 and Vitalic will probably be on at 1 or later. The people handling the lines are ridiculously inefficient. For Laidback Luke a few weeks ago, the line was down the block along the left side of Avalon for people who prepaid and they only had ONE person swiping credit cards. Meanwhile there was another line for people buying tickets at the right side of Avalon that was way shorter and seemed to move quicker. Two people were at the box office to handle those transactions. I think they figured it wouldn't hurt to let the people who already paid wait longer as they got more money from people buying tickets at the door. I only got in quickly because we cut everyone (yeah, I was THAT guy). Maybe going in the buy-tickets-at-the-door line and then skipping the B.O. and heading straight to the turnstile is the way to go.

that was me, they didn't let me in to see Mr. Oizo because I was wearing shorts. And no they will not give you a refund.

It all depends on who's playing. No one showed up for Alan Braxe a few weeks ago so everyone was able to go right in. In general, you'll get in if you bought your ticket. I've never tried getting in line after 11:30 though (I usually go in around 10:30-11). The only time you get problems is when a popular DJ is booked. Then it becomes a matter of how long you'll have to wait outside due to the staff's inefficiency and shadiness. If you RSVP'ed to one of Control's promoters for the night of a popular DJ, you better get there early. They don't care about you making it in before the RSVP cut off time because they want you to pay the up-the-ass prices at the door.

As for the dress code, what everyone else mentioned is pretty much on the mark. I wore a cap there last month, and the door guy said I had to take it off in the club (I put it back on once inside, haha). I stopped wearing it after that in case they were going to start actually enforcing it.

Yes, two guys, from Sweden, they did open for Tiesto, (they sound nothing like him whatsoever) they also played at Control back in September. They will be playing with autoKratz at Control on April 9th too.

Wow. Crystal Method definitely delivered tonight! One of the guys even brought his girlfriend on stage and proposed to her. she said yes and the party continued! They played for almost 2 hours. killer set.

And I dont know if it was MR White playing right before Cruystal, but whoever it was, they didnt disappoint
