also how does this nights talent vary so greatly between awesome and fucking awful (Yolanda Be Cool, Le Castlevania) so drastically

I mean, I don't think I really have to explain this... as it's Club Economics 101... but a lot of those amazing shows don't really have a great draw... especially compared to the overall cost... Whereas they book a lot of relatively inexpensive stuff that the kids come out in droves for (Le Castlevania is a huge draw... which is obnoxious cause he really is fucking awful... but then these are the same kids who were singing along loudly to Save The World like it was the greatest song ever recorded last night).

But the person who books Friday nights really does know her shit, has great taste personally... and really strives to bring in some amazing stuff...

All the unannounced stuff that's dope and has been mentioned to me isn't until like August and September (god if the September date works out I'm going to be doing backflips... And August 31st is another night that Alex and I are on the bill primarily because of how much we love the acts that have been confirmed for the night)... I was told recently that a bunch of shit I was going to hate would be announced soon... but I'm assuming that was with the batch that included Rusko...

Looking forward to tonight though... and next week as well, since Tittsworth is on the bill... (I don't always love his tunes, but Jesse's one of the most talented DJs I know... and just a super nice cat)... Two weeks in a row with DC getting love! Can't be mad about that.
