my boyfriend already gave me one fantastic gift. now he has another already arrived and just waiting for me to open. his gift still hasn't arrived and probably won't arrive before he goes home for the holidays i think after work i'm going to get him a secondary gift of a portable camping shower. i can't let this man show me up!!! i got some small gifts for friends & family yesterday, but i still feel so behind. but i do now have "happy owliday" owl decorated wrapping paper, so at least there's that.

My parents sent me enough money to pay for Coachella. Christmas spirit is starting to appear. I need to figure out something to do to get myself through Christmas Eve, though. I should find a shelter or something to volunteer at.

I hate all Christmas songs that are either sung by children or end with a children's chorus backing the singer. Gloria Estefan's "Christmas Through Your Eyes" (or something like that) comes to mind.

You should check out jazz Christmas songs, no children in the background at all.

We don't get our Christmas tree until Christmas Eve *Can't beat 5$ bucks a tree.* As far as gifts go, got my father a professional kitchen floor mat since he loves to cook and a golden poo keychain for shits and giggles, Japanese interactive plant for my Aunt and a special pot holder for my Uncle *he'll have no idea what it is really for, it will take him some time to figure it out.* I found a great store nearby that had great cards with Faeries on the cover to use as Christmas cards and those will be sent out to my family members that are out-of-state.

My Aunt is planning a Christmas Eve and Christmas Day feeding frenzy which should be delicious. Laptops will be utilized to communicate *via Skype* with my other family members in Florida, all of us will be drunk so it should prove to be quite hilarious as we try to chat through the web cams.

What is everyone's favorite alcoholic holiday drink? I want some ideas other than spiked eggnog or wine.

Last night I wrapped my presents in Trader Joe's paper bags and made some cards for the parents (a cardinal and a badger, respectively). It is not feeling very much like Christmas over at my end, my gift presentation is appalling.

Last night I wrapped my presents in Trader Joe's paper bags and made some cards for the parents (a cardinal and a badger, respectively). It is not feeling very much like Christmas over at my end, my gift presentation is appalling.

What I do is wrap presents in brown paper bags/white paper/newsprint/whatever is in arms reach and draw ribbons on them with marker to make it seem like that was the look I was going for when in reality, I'm just too lazy to dig up the wrapping paper.
