    my boyfriend already gave me one fantastic gift. now he has another already arrived and just waiting for me to open. his gift still hasn't arrived and probably won't arrive before he goes home for the holidays i think after work i'm going to get him a secondary gift of a portable camping shower. i can't let this man show me up!!! i got some small gifts for friends & family yesterday, but i still feel so behind. but i do now have "happy owliday" owl decorated wrapping paper, so at least there's that.

    My parents sent me enough money to pay for Coachella. Christmas spirit is starting to appear. I need to figure out something to do to get myself through Christmas Eve, though. I should find a shelter or something to volunteer at.

    That's awesome, Marc.

    Volunteering is a good idea. I'm volunteering in a charity giftwrap booth the two days before Christmas again this year, and it's surprisingly rewarding and fun. I'm looking forward to it. It's much more festive than anything I could be doing at home.

    You should all just fly to Hawaii and come visit me for the holidays. Problem solved.

    A smaller tree but a decorated tree none the less. Connor is just glad I have something to put a few presents under of course.

    Total decorating time = 7 minutes.

    That would be hilarious, because I can't wrap a gift nicely to save my life. "Shut up and take it, it's for charity". Luckily, I don't have any to wrap this year.

    Sitting at Union Station waiting for the #11 Coast Starlight. The electric model set is all decked out in seasonal trimmings, the walls are marble, the lights are dim, and the coffee is warm. Merry Christmas or whatever.

    I took that train once. I hope you get wherever you are going by Christmas.

    I'm watching Miracle On 34th Street. If this doesn't do the trick, I'm going to just bury myself in as many distractions as possible and write this Christmas off.

    We don't get our Christmas tree until Christmas Eve *Can't beat 5$ bucks a tree.* As far as gifts go, got my father a professional kitchen floor mat since he loves to cook and a golden poo keychain for shits and giggles, Japanese interactive plant for my Aunt and a special pot holder for my Uncle *he'll have no idea what it is really for, it will take him some time to figure it out.* I found a great store nearby that had great cards with Faeries on the cover to use as Christmas cards and those will be sent out to my family members that are out-of-state.

    My Aunt is planning a Christmas Eve and Christmas Day feeding frenzy which should be delicious. Laptops will be utilized to communicate *via Skype* with my other family members in Florida, all of us will be drunk so it should prove to be quite hilarious as we try to chat through the web cams.

    What is everyone's favorite alcoholic holiday drink? I want some ideas other than spiked eggnog or wine.

    First year away from home and I have decided to not celebrate Xmas. I have no spirit or cheer and am slowly (but surely!) becoming a Scrooge.

    Im getting these to use on relatives that are coming in for the holidays especially my paranormal mother in law.

    There are a lot of scary things out there. But here at ThinkGeek Mindlabs(TM) we think there are certainly few things scarier than one's own imagination. The human mind can play Insert alternative description here devious tricks on itself, especially when given a small amount of outside stimuli to work with. Your thoughts can easily lead you into a maze of paranoia and put you into a very uncomfortable state of heightened awareness. That odd noise that just came from the attic or the "face" you just saw hovering for a split second outside your window - these things can really stir your thoughts. So, we used this simple principle to create our newest mind toy, the ThinkGeek EvilTron.

    This fiendishly small device features six creepy sound choices perfect for frightening your "friends" and co-workers. Simply choose your favorite sound (or use the random mode), place it in a dark hiding spot and watch the madness begin. Perfectly suitable for dorm, office and home use. Or try putting it in someone's car - that gets them every time.

    Your Highly Tested EvilTron Sounds Are:

    * Something unsettling creaking
    * Unidentifiable scratching sounds
    * Gasping last breath
    * Sinister child laughing
    * Eerie whispering of 'hey, can you hear me?'
    * Random Mode

    I wanted to get those and plant them around my neighbor's apartment a few years ago.

    Last night I wrapped my presents in Trader Joe's paper bags and made some cards for the parents (a cardinal and a badger, respectively). It is not feeling very much like Christmas over at my end, my gift presentation is appalling.

    What I do is wrap presents in brown paper bags/white paper/newsprint/whatever is in arms reach and draw ribbons on them with marker to make it seem like that was the look I was going for when in reality, I'm just too lazy to dig up the wrapping paper.

    If I had more time I'd draw different prints on the wrappings but totally not going to happen.
