I was unaware. The post made it seem as if she was alive except for the cemetery part. Sorry for your loss, Pete.

You guys, my brother got me something for over $100, and I got him the book slaughter-house five worth a total of $8. Should I feel bad?

My spouse and I both have family that live far away, and he works a 12 hour shift tomorrow, so I'm off to friends for dinner and boozing.

Have a wonderful Christmas all ye merry Coachellans.

About to head out so i want to wish you all a safe Christmas and Channukah Thank You all for making me want to keep coming back.
You know, but that's valid because if we are all gonna die anyway shouldn't we be enjoying ourselves now? You know, I'd like to quit thinking of the present, like right now, as some minor insignificant preamble to something else.

Its freezing so touching my penis isn't an option right now, and I can't head to my families house due to the owner of the dogs I'm sitting being overly OCD about her pooches. Left my phone at home earlier (away from it for 5 hours) and she blew it up to the point where her sister was calling my phone and sending me text about her (the owner) freaking out. When I got back to my phone I had 5 missed calls and 15 text. She said she was about to call some hospitals to see if I had ended up there.

I understand you love your dogs, but shit, relax they are OK. I can't even chill with my family because these dogs supposedly have issues with hanging out with other dogs, so even though my family and I are COMPLETELY ok with bringing down a crate/blankets/food etc for her 3 dogs, its better to leave them in their little world... Maybe she should socialize them and stop babying them.

She's so spun in her head she forgot to leave me a parking permit for the area before she left, so she fed ex'd it. The fed ex had a note with this in writing. "Merry XMAS Rowen, Madison, and Axxion! You guys be good for Eric (me). Don't be naughty!"

Because dogs can read. Maybe I was supposed to read that out loud to them, and then feed them hot cocoa...YEAH.

I'm about to go insane from being Dr. Doolittle the past 4 days.

I can totally hang out with animals all the time, its just dealing with their owners which makes me go insane. I completely feel for all of my teacher friends who deal with parents.

    Merry fucking Christ Mass.

We went over to my mother-in-law's house last night for Christmas Eve dinner, and as usual, her cat was hiding under the bed in the guest room. Normally this wouldn't bother me, but Andy rescued this cat. He found him as a kitten wandering around the airport. He brought him home to our apartment, where we already had 4 cats, and told me we couldn't keep him. He was the sweetest, most sociable kitten. Just wanted to be held and loved. So we gave him to his mom...and he turned into a spook, I assume from being shuffled around. It just broke my heart.

So last night, we decided to flush him out of the guest bedroom. Andy lifted the bed, and I picked him up. AND HE LET ME. I don't think he liked Andy's voice, so he stayed under the dining room table all night. But he would let me go over and pet him and rub his ears, and by the end of the night, he let me hold him like a baby for a good 5 minutes. I was in heaven. I almost started crying, like a wuss. But that seriously made my Christmas.

And then her parents get me the Art of the LP book I've been wanting forever and a set of brilliant Bose headphones with a switch out cord that gives them iPhone bud functionality (volume, mic, etc)

I have never been treated this well. It's almost unnerving.

I've already got everything that I need and there really isn't anything that one could go out and purchase as far as Christmas presents are concerned. The only thing that I really wanted was just a simple phone call from my kid. So far, that hasn't happened and that doesn't surprise me. She's so much like me.

Its like the Infinite Monkey Theorem, if you put X amount of monkeys in a room with a typewriter and ask them to give you Shakespeare 99% of them will fling their shit at you while the other 1% will masturbate in the corner.

I treat Christmas like a competition and this year I decimated the competition. The gifts I was given by everyone in my family paled in comparison to the thoughtfulness and raw awesomeness of what I gave them.

I got a gift card to Williams & Sonoma, a bottle of J'adore perfume, a wireless mouse, CASH, and some really boring sweaters.

    8/16: Anthony Naples, Maxmillion Dunbar @ f8
8/18: Man Man @ The Chapel
    8/23-8/24: FYF Fest
8/30: Peaking Lights @ The Chapel
9/3: Bear in Heaven @ The Independent
    9/24 - 28: Decibel Festival
10/5: The War on Drugs, Cass McCombs @ The Fillmore
    10/18-19: Treasure Island Music Festival

I got a ticket to see The Ring Cycle at the Met in May. Which is the best thing.
Also a little flying helicopter i expect to break in my luggage on the flight home, some opera DVDs and such.

But mostly it is great that the trip to FL to see my lady's family was great. Also the 19 hours of opera i get to see after Coachella. Hot damn.

Now I'm about to board the flight home!
