The movies are actually pretty crowded on holidays because no one wants the responsibility of entertaining/dealing with their family for very long.

I've always found the norm to be old couples going to see whatever film caters most to their age group. For example, I expect most to be flocking to the theaters to go see It's Complicated.

My boyfriend saw a sneak preview of It's Complicated with his mom...and he said the theater was filled with old couples/women, and that he must have been the only male under 35 there. That's for sure going to be the older-christmas-couples movie....and me, by myself :P

We've been going to the movies on Christmas for years. The theaters used to be pretty empty, but now it seems to be THE thing to do. This year (because my brother has a 3 month old and my parents just got a new big screen) we're gonna go with a DVD at home.

My co-worker brought tamales and my boss brought kimbap (see image below) today. I got a super cute xmas card and a Trader Joe's gift card from my co-workers!

I help my Mexican side of the family make tamales. It's so fun!

My boyfriend and I went to Alabama last week to have an early xmas with his family. We had a big family dinner and I brought presents for everyone. His dad: tommy bahamas sweater, his mom: lucy sweater + gold &spinel necklace, his sis: shirt + opal earrings.

We didn't want to have xmas day over there because we want our own usual xmas with my mom, and our dogs. The dogs get their own stockings and presents lol.

Then we eat lots of oyster dressing, pumpkin pie, green beans... then rent lots of movies (but this year instant netflix!)

I can't post what I got the bf on here since he reads the board, but I got too much as usual. I asked for a slr camera and a few little things. My mom is getting a daily planner, and some burts bees stuff.. she normally doesn't want anything so I never know what to get her. I got one of my friends (who has a 6month old girl)some new baby clothes from the disney store

Also no tree this year, we just decorate the fireplace.

Just a novelty ball point pen we got for the kids long ago. It's annoying to write with, and my husband is a light guy, so he removed the writing part, and attached a clear lucite ball to the end to transmit light better.

I am guessing because of the season this happened. I dressed all up to be warm and go out and clear my sidewalks. When I got out there, they were already cleaned and the sun actually made them dry The only down side is I know it was done by my neighbor who is over 75. I only sort of feel bad because he does have a snow blower. Thank you neighbor. I am waiting to hear where our Army girl is. She drove up to Seattle last week and said she would be here by xmas eve. Darn weather. cr****
