Thread: I want to camp, but dont think it will work out.

  1. #1

Default I want to camp, but dont think it will work out.

We'll have alot of luggage (2 suitcases at least), so cant see how I would be able to camp. Also, dont fancy dragging camping gear with me on my 3 week tour of USA.

Has anyone ever had this dilemma?

what would be the best/nearest accommodation outside of camping?

    Thanks

When you say a lot of luggage is it more than can fit in your trunk? You will be able to camp next to your car and I don't think you would have anything to worry about with everything in your trunk. Outside of camping there are tons of hotels that are rather expensive. I would start looking like NOW and since you have a car maybe stay at a hotel like 15 miles or so away as those hotels can be a little more affordable but that region knows how to jack up their prices for the fest.

Your best bet would probably be to rent a car and keep your stuff in the trunk. It's car camping this year, so your car will be next to your tent. Or... Just stay at a hotel and nix the camping.

it's not a rugged-ass campsite. it's a perfectly level field. bring a luggage cart with wheels and you're a-ok. I mean, you have to get all this shit through aairports/bus stations/everyhere else you're going. you can handle the 300m from the lot to the campground. for serious- don't worry about it. people will help you if you need a hand. me and another coupleboard members helped probably two dozen people out with our wagon on thursday this year.

    edit:
hell, i'll help you out personally!

camping is just so awesome. you make friends, and it means coachella is 4 days of nonstop magic, instead of being broken up into 12 hour chunks of glory.
