When I went to my classes, there were 12 people. 10 of the 12 were on their 2nd or more busts. It's easy to say, but I am sticking to one. cr****

Gunz, are you sure it was .22??? I mean, anything over .08 is considered illegal....brb...I'll check. .22 seems awfully high.
Okay, or awfully, awfully shitfaced. If all he got was 60 days, he should just suck it up and be thankful. But, I'm guessing that being his 2nd, there's more punishment than that...Anyway, kids...Thought I'd share this as another reminder during this holiday season...Be safe!

    1. BAC = .02 = Drinkers begin to feel moderate effects.

    2. BAC = .04 = Most people begin to feel relaxed, mildly euphoric, sociable, and talkative.

    3. BAC = .05 = Judgment, attention, and control are somewhat impaired. Ability to drive safely begins to be limited. Sensory-motor and finer performance are impaired. People are less able to make rational decisions about their capabilities (for example, about driving.)

    4. BAC = .08 = This is legal level for intoxication in some states. There is a definite impairment of muscle coordination and driving skills.

    5. BAC = .10 = This is legally drunk in most states. There is a clear deterioration of reaction time and control.

    6. BAC = .12-.15 = Vomiting usually occurs, unless this level is reached slowly or a person has developed a tolerance to alcohol. Drinkers are drowsy.

Drinkers display emotional instability, loss of critical judgment, impairment of perception, memory, and comprehension.

Lack of sensor-motor coordination and impaired balance are typical. Decreased sensory responses and increased reaction times develop. The vision is significantly impaired, including limited ability to see detail, peripheral vision, and slower glare recovery.

    7. BAC = .15 = This blood-alcohol level means the equivalent of 1/2 pint of whiskey is circulating in the blood stream.

    8. BAC = .18-.25 = Drinkers are disoriented, confused, dizzy, and have exaggerated emotional states. Vision is disturbed, as is perception of color, form, motion, and dimensions.

Drinkers have increased pain threshold and lack of muscular coordination. Drinkers stagger or lose the ability to walk and have slurred speech. Apathy and lethargy are typical.

    9. BAC = .25-.30 = Drinkers display general inertia, near total loss of motor functions, little response to stimuli, inability to stand or walk, vomiting, and incontinence. Drinkers may lose consciousness or fall into a stupor.

    10. BAC = .30-.50 = Symptoms are complete unconsciousness, depressed or absent reflexes, subnormal body temperature, incontinence, and impairment of circulation and respiration.

Death may occur at .37% or higher. BACs of .45% and higher are fatal to nearly all individuals.

I voted OTHER: Because I used to be irresponsible and do that until one day my friend was drinking and driving and got in a horrible accident. He broke his neck, smashed his hand, broke a hip... pretty much got fucked up. He can walk and is fine now, but his hand is completely mangled from the accident. Now, I don't drink and drive. Loss of limb and life is not worth it.

A good rule of thumb when thinking about getting behind the wheel after a few drinks:

There's no such thing as a $7,000 cab ride.

Try not to ruin your life, raise your insurance rates, go to jail, pay bail, and possibly kill innocent people. Just don't drive drunk people.

Need a DUI attorney in L.A.... let me know. He's the best you can get.

does Buzzed driving count?? I have driven drunk a few times in my life, and it was a really really dumb thing to do.. Don't want no DUI and I could lose a good job if that happened..

.22 sounds pretty drunk to me.. I think here in Utah our limit is .08.. If you had three beers (within an hour) and immediately drove home after your last beer, you would prob blow above a .08..
Don't drink & drive kids.. You don't want an open container ticket on your record.

I got pulled over for speeding, whilst a little buzzy... blew a .12, and am dealing with the aftermath... it will probably prevent me from going to Coachella. Cops shouldn't be allowed to take blood samples by the way, they stuck me three times before they got anything... assholes.

this is one of those topics that I really really just don't understand. It is completely avoidable and yet many of my friends seem to do it without question. And the bad part is it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure it out, 2 people dd 1 weekend, 2 more the next assuming you have a consistent group of drinking buddies. Thats 3 nights of getting totally shitfaced without having to worry about your car or anything in a 2 week span because you have a dd, and 1 night of mild responsibilty. I actually think its kinda funny being the dd sometimes being the only rational thinker of the group.

kind of, but i got off easy.

    2nd DUI:

    1. 3 months of once a week Substance Abuse Program($500)
    2. 3 years of informal probation
    3. 1 "Mothers Against Drunk Driving" class
    4. 50 hours of community service(instead of $1200 fine)
    5. $480 court fees & $120 booking fee

...and I can drive one month from now when i file for hardship through the dmv. gotta love the way the system is setup!

    *edit: .14 was my BAC

My friend in high school had a pocket breathalyzer and we weren't allowed to go to any school functions unless we blew at least red on the little color scale. I believe red was a minimum of a .12 or .15 BAC. Texas.
