...only on Sundays
NOPE - I never drive after drinking, ever
KINDA - If I know Iím driving, Iíll still drink, but cap it at 1 or 2
YUP - I drive perfectly fine after a few drinks and I do it more than I should
OTHER Ė I drive when Iím on other illegal substances
i have court tomorrow ... =[ i wil live to drink again. only with several thousand dollars less and a personal issue to deal with
i drink and drive but never when im shitfaced. if im feeling numb and good i just smoke a bowl and clear the cobwebs.
i'm sure the family you end up killing would love to know that all you wanted to do was get home to your bed after the party got broken up.
exactly i drink and drive but never when im shitfaced obviously that means i know my limits. feeling numb is not drunk its just that warmness IMO drunk to me is having trouble with regular activities like lighting a bowl, walking , and carrying on a conversation,, or my personal favorite tell " man i'm spinning"
i was driving on the 405 after smoking a little bit and had an acid flashback. It was a weird experience. Good thing there was a lot of traffic.
Got pulled over tonight. Damn gps told me to go right down a one way and cops were right there. Scared shitless doing the under the influences tests because I was really high. I had a couple drinks earlier but nothing to get me worried. I passed the tests and everything was ok but that fucker still game me a ticket. You think I can fight the ticket in court? Blame it on my GPS?
Uh... is the ticket just for traveling the wrong way down a one-way? You could definitely fight a DUI if you passed the tests (including breathalyzer). If you went the wrong way down a one-way street and blame it on the GPS they'll say "OK fine, we'll cite you for reckless driving for not looking at the fucking road." You can't blame a ticket on GPS, ha.
Just don't fight the stupid traffic ticket. Here's what your options are:
Wait a week and see how many lawyers send a little pamphlet promising you for the cost of your ticket (plus another small court fee) they'll go to court and erase it for you. They will likely return innocence upon completion of a driver's ed course. Doing it yourself has a small chance you could get deferred adjudication so if you're feeling fight-the-power-y, go for it. If you have the money to cover the cost of the ticket + $50-$100, go for it. You'll be glad when you see nothing go up on your insurance later. This option is a bit more immediate with your "innocent" ruling.
You could try doing it yourself as well. Plead nolo contendere (or no contest)... DO NOT plead guilty or innocent and pay the initial fine issued in the ticket. The judge will probably request you take a defensive driving course (upon completion he'll rule innocent; you have about 2-3 months to finish a course, do an online one) or may even give you deferred adjudication if you have a pretty clean record. Deferred adjudication is just like "hey in the next 6 months let's see if he fucks up, if he doesn't we'll forget it." So don't fuck up in the next 6 months. I promise you paying the ticket fine up front and hopefully getting it erased from your insurance by taking a court-ordered driver's ed course or a deferred adjudication ending in an innocent ruling is MUCH cheaper in the long run. A one time fee is far better than paying for it every month on your insurance. You still pay for the ticket here, but save the lawyer fees and have to wait about 3-6 months before you know what's up. If you're into saving money and fighting the power, have at it.
Good luck! I probably deal with a ticket once a month because I drive everywhere and typically do it fast, so this isn't some copy / paste bullshit. I just got two tickets erased from two separate states. All traffic laws and the shitty municipal courts that handle their enforcement are the same... no offense to peace officers / city judges and their relatives.

Or just pay the ticket because you were "really high" and driving the wrong way down a one way.
Personal accountability, you know. The cop wasn't a "fucker," he had every bit of responsibility to make sure you didn't kill someone. Please refer to the first quote in my sig.
Fucking GayPalm told you to go the wrong way. What a little bitch.
Sorry, gross. Cops suck HUGE balls.
Yes, cops suck. Right or wrong,, nice or not . . . I don't like them.

Even if that cop prevents someone from possibly colliding with you head on because he's high and going the wrong way?
I'm sorry, your thinking on this is very juvenile. There are many asshole cops, but the cop in this case was very much in the right for pulling him over and citing him.
I'm not questioning the law or the ticket. Yes, the cops were doing what they were supposed to do. Good for them. I know a lot of people who do their job, even "save" people, but they're still dicks.
Tommy, I will not fall prey to your intense need to be right. I'm simply not a fan of cops, and they better do their fucking job.
damn if i got a ticket for every time i went the wrong way down a one way street . I would not have a licence.Gross were you in Poway at that monument in time because i've gotten a ticket for doing a u-turn when it was a no u-turn sign off poway scripps and pomeado(urgh i can't spell that street) and i swear the cop came out of nowhere.
