As is their Mediterranean hummus. I've almost gone through one in a single afternoon.

The past three dinners my boyfriend and I have made together have been fully provided by TJ's products. Including tonight's.

    Yum.

I'll keep it simple. The celery and peanut butter packs are always in the fridge at work.

Oh and the wife says the cereal with the gorilla on the cover is me.
    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

YES! Love these and the beef taquitos! The chicken taquitos were awful, though. And seconded on the Mediterranean Hummus.

One time I bought Whole Foods hummus and it was disgusting...what gives?

The Trader Joe's on Court Street in Brooklyn is a handful of stops on the G train away, and that's the one we hit up the most. It's in an old bank that was built in either the late 1800's or the early 1900's, which gives it a lot of open space and incredibly high ceilings. We usually hit it up in a big way, combining a trip there with one to Sahadi's.

I'll agree with the produce gripes, though we've got a few excellent spots right outside our door for that.

Fairway is good, too (for produce and everything else), but its Red Hook location is not nearly close enough to Greenpoint to make it a regular stop for us. It would probably be quicker to visit the Upper West Side location in Manhattan.

That video was great so spot on!

The "that they don't have anymore" lines make me sad because it happens to me so much! On Thursday i saw two guys rummaging through the frozen section like maniacs - "WHERE IS THE SEAFOOD BLEND!?!?! THEY CAN'T NOT HAVE IT ANYMORE!!!!!"

It's true, the fdrozen seafood blend was awesome and super cheap.

The problem with Trader Joes is that their food is pretty much all decent, but none of it is really good. Everything is slightly above average, but nothing amazing.

The song there is modeled on one of Art Garfunkel's few semi-popular solo efforts.

Their "Salsa Especial" is to dieeeee for (the one in fridge section) ...with some of those multicolored flaxseed chips, or even better the "Identity Crisis" chips!

Also, on New Years Day I was forced to go into Von's to get some arborio rice(36 oz.) because TJ was closed....it was $7.99. A couple days later I'm in TJ and see the arborio rice(36 oz.) for $2.99!! They really are much cheaper & sooo much more delicious.
