I have Sprint, which sucks a big dick where I'm from. How is the service out there? Any good?

I have verizon and it works very well on site from verizon to verizon.
Yeah, I mean. I'm going alone to the fest, so calling or texting people there is not an issue. I'd just like to be in contact with people back home just in case something happens. Sprint is just notorious around here for being horrible, don't know what the case is out there in the desert.
most of the major companies install mobile cell sites, if sprint sucks, it might be smart to anticipate it sucking everywhere...
however, i also have verizon, and have never had a problem, but i have also seen the verizon mobile cell sites, which happen to be chunky looking trucks...

I have Sprint and I'm usually good at Coachella but I had a disaster last year at the Outdoor Theater in which my phone wasn't receiving calls or texts and I lost my lady.

ive use sprint and have gone and havent had a problem with it. Granted I only really used my phone once a day and was still early enough in the day before the crowds happen but yeah, you should be fine.
i have sprint, went to coach and lost my phone. in the end, just remember where you parked, a perfect meetup spot. who really needs phones?
At some point in time a man switches from "I'll have what he's having" to "I'll have what I'm having."
anyone have experience with iphones n at&t?
UNDERWORLD - 2014 - THE PRODIGY
Sprint has always been good to me at Coachella.
i have t-mobile and last year i had a signal the whole time and no lag for texts... in years past i had those problems but they must have done something to improve things...

i have tmobile and my service got progressively worse as the day wore on until sundown where i just did have any service at all. it made it increasingly difficult to find the people i was with. did anyone else have this problem?
i have tmobile and theres not much service here in the valley. worse once i got to coachella i had to walk around with my phone in the air trying to get a signal.

ZACKLY the same prob last year with my T-mobile phone. I heard power cycling your phone forces in the texts.
now i have ATT
This year ATT better step it up with the iphone app was release just before the festival weekend.
2010 will have hundreds if not thousands more people using the coachella iphone app.
T-Mo doesn't work too well, especially later in the day. I'm sure the tower serving the area gets congested. I usually won't get my texts until I walk back to the parking lot.
Hey Randy! What? The devil! Whuh? The devil is everywhere...
In my two years that I've been going to Coachella with an iPhone, I have used mostly texting and it lags a lot to send or receive messages. Hours and hours in fact.
I wouldn't not bring my phone, but don't rely on it to be able to text your friends in case you get lost.
Verizon FTW! Didn't have any problems last year
yeah, i've never had any problem with service at coachella over the last few years with verizon.

I just give up on my cell phone at Coachella. I didn't have to back when I had Verizon but that's what I get for switching.

I've had sprint for a few years no, and I don't recall having any major problems the last couple of years I've gone to Coachella. Voice or Text, though text is the better way to go with all the noise. I think as some have pointed out, they've gotten better about installing mobile towers near the fest to lighten the load on the area cell towers.
Upcoming: 05/07/13 - Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes - Sunshine Theater (Albuquerque, NM); 05/25/13 - Fleetwood Mac - Hollywood Bowl (Hollywood, CA); 05/29/13 - Arctic Monkeys - Sunshine Theater (Albuquerque, NM); 05/30/13 - The Postal Service - Red Rocks (Morrison, CO); Bjork performing Biophilia - 06/02/13 - Hollywood Palladium (Hollywood, CA); Bjork - 06/11/13 - Hollywood Bowl (Hollywood, CA);
My friend's got Sprint and she always has service during the festival. I have AT&T and there is a major lag in trying to receive and send text messages, which was a major bummer when a friend is trying to meet up w/ me.
