Does anyone know how many oxygen bottles we can bring in to Coachella at a time? I'll be excited, so my O2 consumption will be higher than usual.

I think Coachella is for all those young whippersnappers. Nothin' but bunch of hooligans, listening to that rock and roll!

You know what this thread reminds me of my father. I mean I'm 24 but that guy is like 70. He has said some of the stuff you guys have written on here. Like this quote up above.

Age is just a number. Some old people have young souls and some young people have old souls. I am old enough to remember Straw Hat Pizza in southern California.

Whoa. Straw Hat Pizza. Now that's a name I've not heard in a long time. A long time. We had it in northern California too. Their pepperoni's were fucking awesome. Made Shakey's and Round Table look like shit.

I'm getting old and my memory doesn't start working until about noon,so I can't remember the name of the giant ice cream parlor place where everyone that worked there dressed like riverboat gamblers and if you had your birthday there it meant your parents loved you more then all the other kids' parents loved them.
Does anyone else remember that place(it was on Harbor Blvd. in Costa Mesa,I believe, and a chain all over CA)?

I was gonna say Farrell's! Oh my god, they had ice cream MOUNTAINS there, and it seemed like a siren went off whenever anyone ordered one of those mountain sundaes. Is that right? They used to have one at Chris-Town (now Spectrum Mall).

i am also remembering sirens now that you mention it. we used to go to the one at metrocenter above the ice skating rink next to the old indoor twin cinema. not the old OUTDOOR twin cinema next to the whataburger with the four story slide that the kid got the back of his legs sliced open on. all gone now. this town has destroyed my childhhod.

When I was a kid the two best places to eat were here and The Crab Cooker in Newport Beach because of the giant swordfish on the wall.

I got this fortune last night and thought you old fogeys might appreciate it. Don't strain your eyes.

We actually had a Farrell's in eugene when I was a kid. They had a player piano, which I thought was the coolest thing on the planet. I don't know if it was one of the same chain or not. One day they sold it and changed the color of the building from green to red. Same menu, same employees, but for some reason it was just not the same. It's the Pearl St. Ice Cream Parlor now, which as an older child was always an icon of how even in the short time I'd been alive, things were not as good as they were "back when I was a kid".

Actually, i guess not all Straw Hat pizzas got wiped out by Pizza Hut. There is still one in Victorville, where I lived as a young lad. They still exist, just not in as great a number as they used to. And, that pizza was damn good.

But, yes, I was picked to be the next Pete Rose, but I got caught in a gambling bust when I was 5, and my baseball career was destroyed. I tried my hand in the Japanese leagues, but my heart wasn't in it anymore, and one day I left the bat behind. My story should be a lesson to you all; betting on sports can kill your major league career.

In high school my school was determined never to have more than one snow day a year. We'd always get that with the first storm. My junior year, that came on my birthday, so we had that off. That night there was about 4 feet of snow, and we had to go the next day. It continued snowing that whole week. I didn't walk, because I lived 20 miles from school at the base of a mountain, but I did walk after school from their to my job, in the snow.
