I really want to go this year. So far Bassnectar is confirmed.

Yeah me too. I wonder if it'd be easier to convince Jacob to go to this than Bonnaroo. I wish we could dredge up some sort of Coachella crew for Rothbury. (because the board roo crew '09 was the BEST)

I bet Phish plays this. Allman Brothers maybe? I'm trying to think of other big jambands that haven't played yet. MMJ would be cool.
Yeah, but are there drugs there? There must not be or Tim would've mentioned it by now.
yay drugs

From the people I have talked to that have been to both or just one: This fest could make a run to be one of the most popular fests in the summer. Yea July 4th either really sucks for some people or a perfect weekend for a festival .... cr*******
Coachella Wk2 04/19-04/21
Wakarusa 05/30-06/02
Bonnaroo 06/13-06/16
Dave Matthews Band 08/23-08/24
BurningMan 08/26-09/02
VooDoo 11/01-11/03
Bridge Benefit 10/???
I went the first year. Better than all of the other festivals I've been to, BRoo, Lolla, Summer Camp, etc. Venue is incredible. The Sherwood Forest is to die for. Plenty of drugs. I encourage any and all to go. Great weekend.
Michigan really should be a nice climate that time of year. The pictures look amazing, it's the lineup that always loses me.

If you research the bands you aren't familiar with on the lineup I'm sure you'll find plenty of stuff you like. I'm definitely going next year.
I was looking at last years lineup and it actually looked like there was plenty of decent bands that I would at least find interesting to see.
I've heard the same thing Ron did, that's it's really the best festival there is. Some of my friends who have been to roo a few times, lolla, and some other smaller fests say that it's way better than anything they've ever been to. I don't know anyone that's been to coachella and rothbury though. Either way, it sounds like it's definitely worth going to.
Are you still living in that exciting state of ohio? If so there should be no excuses why you're not going.
I am now but I don't know if I will be by next July.
Like AZ is much more exciting...
That's good news. I want to attempt to get that damn week off, and if I do, I'm making Jacob go with me. Midwest is usually really nice around July 4th, and Jacob has (babysitter) relatives somewhat nearby in Indiana.
(not holding out too much hope for it, but I really want to go)
Wilco is supposedly headlining a night of this.
