i just got back from a monday night friends-style thanksgiving

im stuffed full of turkey and stuffing

and i had too much wine

and i thought i would start a thread about thanksgiving and what you are doing, and the most part... what are you most excited for?

we all already know men have some kind of yearly craving for stuffing similar to women and their monthly need for chocolate.

oh and sorry to JClemy and MissingPerson and the other non-americans who are missing out this Thursday on the only American holiday i still enjoy (besides halloween)

and tomorrow im heading over to san diego and spending it with a guy i like- and i will eat more stuffing--- and i will poop and drink all i want.... its so lovely and gluttonous

i love a place in that area called Cyclops Cafe- was good brunch and enjoyable afternoon drinking too. the bartender was really cool and i stayed all day.

I'm going up to SF to spend Thanksgiving with my brother and all the other Islamic, socialist anti-Americans in the Bay Area. I don't understand this pre-Thursday gluttony, though. I like to pack it all in on Thursday.

Spending the day at home with my girls. I work all day Weds and all day Fri and I haven't had wind of anything worth hitting the stores for at 6am on the way to work.

doing the northern california thing, too. get out of the hospital tomorrow morning and head to the house for a few hours until my lady gets done with work. then it's in the car around 7pm and on the road to danville to visit her sister/brother in law/their kids. friday is the tree lighting in the city and then back home sometime saturday.

cool story, all of which took place before we met. my g'friend's mom had a daughter at 13 years of age. back in those days it was common for parents to force their kids to give up the baby, so up for adoption she went. fade to 35 or so years later and my girlfriend and her 2 other sisters decided it was time to search for their long lost sis. they hired a private detective who was able to track her down, even though birth records were misplaced and names were screwed up on them. turns out they lived within miles of each other for years when they were kids, with the 2 oldest sisters(the adopted one and the next in line) even attending the same sunday school classes for quite awhile. really crazy shit, eh?! anyways, a huge family reunion happened shortly after she was found and it has been amazing ever since. this whole story needs to be turned into a movie. to hear my girlfriend tell the story would make even randy cry...

Friday will be good though. Cooking, will have the big dinner when my mom gets home from work, then my parents are getting a pony keg and I'm having friends over to tap that shit.

The girl I've been seeing for a few weeks family isn't doing anything, so I invited her to spend the holiday with my family & I. She's going to come over early, we're going to bake a pie, make more food, and enjoy dinner with my folks.

My parents live less than a mile away from us, so there won't be much travel required. We'll probably eat around 3 or 4 with the parents and a few relatives driving in from Houston, then hopefully meet my friend Joey back at our house for our annual tradition: Planes, Trains, & Automobiles.

All my immediate family and their respective spouses will be in town and we will be converging on my parents' house. I will be making two pies, at least. Maybe some pumpkin bread, too?

Thanksgiving will be lots of eating and watching the Detroit Lions. Oh, also it will be Christmas. I don't know if we're doing that Friday morning or if it's going to be crammed into Thursday.
