    Default Tripping Daisy

Hate them? Love them? Favorite album?

    Anybody ever see them live?

I feel like a super failure for never seeing them, considering I'm from Dallas. Granted, most of the shows were 18+ and I was in high school...but still.

    Bah...no embedding.

My band did a three week tour of Tx, OK, LA with Tripping Daisy. Fun guys. I was also at the last show with Wes Berggren . He was found dead the day after the show and they disbanded soon after.

Both Bill and I am an Elastic Firecracker still get heavy rotation on my iPod.

Wow Zach, talk about blast from the past. I think I saw them once or twice playing shows in Denton when I was in High School/College. They were a great band. I still listen to Bill every once in awhile.

Love 'em! Saw them in college in a little small place that reminded me of a lunch hall. Don't remember any of it. Best song they ever wrote was "Prick". Almost 10 minutes of awesome. Driving guitars with loud bombastic drums and of course Tim's warbly vocals. And still to this day one of my favorite guitar solos.

    Listen to a sample here

Donald, I'm sure we've discussed this, but when were you at UNT? I was there from 97-01, but I only lived on campus 97-00.

the breakdown / bridge in "Prick" still gives me chills.

I used to have a t-shirt autographed by Tim of Trippin' Daisy. I also saw them play a midnight show at Metro in Chicago back in the mid 90's and again at a free breakfast concert headlined by Cheap Trick. Nothing like rock at 6am.

I know they do a cover of "Sonic Bloom" on an EP but I have never heard it live.
