I didn't know who Steve Aoki was in 2007. I watched about 10 minutes and left because it was it was fucking horrible. I was waiting in the water line next to the sahara in 2009 when he was playing. So fucking awful. I could just hear him screaming during some bad "Killing in the name of" mix. He's shit. Plain and simple.

5 minutes of Aoki might be tolerable, I'm assuming he didn't start screaming along to a Rage Against the Machine song. The most enjoyable part of his Coachella set was when he attempted to crowd surf and fell on the floor. I haven't listened to his new single + remixes so I don't know if he's improved. I just wouldn't advocate paying money exclusively for him.

i don't have a prob with the Killing In The Name remix (it isn't even his remix)..

he ended his set @ HHM with Warp 1.9 (the only time the whole weekend i heard the ORIGINAL version, instead of the remix the Beetroots played twice) and a Nirvana track (i forget which).. i've got the last 5 min or so recorded..
