Will Coachella Sell Out Right Away????

I wanted to know if we should be in a big hurry to buy the tickets or get them from the presale before the 24th. Just need a bit more time to get together a few more people for the road trip.

Has that changed now that there are rumours of rage reuniting for one night only? I mean, I heard about that and I am planning to come from Australia to see that. I imagine anyone with a small sliver of sanity will fly cross country for this.
Only occasionally do i wish i lived in America...


edit: on that note, how many tickets are usually released and do you have your name on them, or can you sell them on ebay later (if not sold out for like $10 below face value)

Billboard says "sources" say the gig is likely to just be a one-off, but yeah, it's ludicrous to think they wouldn't just take the ball and run with it. And they especially want people thinking it's their only show when tickets go on sale. That's one way to sell tickets.

Krunchy, Ticketmaster does not personalize tickets in any way, and people sell tickets on eBay all the time. Hope that helps.

Thanks for that! Definitely appreciated. Well, in this short time I have found out that my good friend from oxford will be in that side of the world aswell, we did pukkelpop last year, so I think i can concrete myself in, and not worry too much about ebaying tickets!

Now I just have to save enough money to get on a plane and get out there! But in all seriousness, how quickly should I jump on tickets? This saturday is pretty quick to plan an entire trip to America!

Last year the Sunday tickets sold out (the day madonna was preforming) but not the two day passes. Even then the Sunday tickets didn't sell out until less then two weeks before Coachella. If you want to go one day, then just get your tickets sometime in February or early March, otherwise you should be able to buy three day tickets right up to the day of the event. Just going by last year of course though. If you live nearby I can understand the one day ticket but if you are coming a distance it would be a real shame to miss the whole event..

i think things will sell out faster this year with RATM... but its hard to say. Everyone makes claims every year. I will buy my tickets this saturday when they go on sale just to be safe. The prices on ebay in 2004 and 2006 after it sold out were stupid.

I think the capacity is 60k unless they lowered like they said they were going to in 05 and 06, but did not.

Actually i hope its 50k - 60k is just a tad too crowded (esp for the tents), if you ask me.
