Anybody else heard of this? I think it sounds pretty cool and they got some good producers to work on it.

Nice. Seems a lot more interesting than the first volume. Has anyone given that a shot?

I'm looking forward to listening to this.

I think we're going to start seeing a lot of hip hop artists rapping over dubstep beats.

definitely. hop hop has stagnated big time and it needs a new production style to revive it. enter dubstep...

underground has been doing it for a year or two, it's nice to see mainstream acts finally catch on to what has been hip for awhile now..

dubstep is gonna take over the world, it's the perfect cross-genre vehicle for the industry to get behind, it easily draws hip-hop fans, electronic fans, hard/metal fans, reggae fans, minimalist fans.. since dub is currently being layed over all of those genres already.. the dubreggae scene has been huge lately, which kinda brings it full circle, since dub was first created by the reggae scene decades ago..

What about the problem with dubstep taking over the world wherein dubstep sucks?

10% of dubstep is good, really good, the rest is trash.

i dont know about that just yet. i think dubstep needs to expand its sound a little more before it can blow up huge. sure the more seasoned dubstep listener will be more keen to notice the subtleties that distinguish different dubstep artists/styles, but for the casual listener reggae breaks and wobble synths are all the dubstep has to offer. im not saying that its not possible, i just think that the dubstep sound needs to evolve a little more and develop more noticeable variations between artists. as it stands the sound is pretty formulaic. the potential is there, we'll just have to wait and see what the artists do with it in the next few years.

There's no way ten percent of dubstep is good. On average, less than 2 percent of any genre of music or art form in general fucking blows. There's no way dubstep violates that law by so much.

Preposterous. You mean as many as 1 in 20 of the songs are actually good? Bullshit, man.
