For 2011
they already played at least 3 shows in LA this year and have already toured the US festivals for Vekatimest. I'd be pretty doubtful.
as i said...lock it in
signed, sealed, (almost) delivered
They should've been at Coachella last year (alongside Dirty Projectors and Phoenix) since Veckatimest came out only a few weeks after. Bonnaroo and all the other festivals locked those bands up when the pinnacle of hype was there. Since they played LA so many times already and I had a chance to see them, I'd see them being on the lineup as a sign of organizers dropping the ball. They're last year festival leftovers and I'd prefer something fresher on the mind.
dropping the ball? or a sign that their touring schedule didn't work with the coachella schedule? i'll go with the latter.
Here's last year's itinerary from the beginning of the year through May, and oh what's this? Not a single date in April. Bands do one-off dates for this since its one of the biggest festival in the world, so it looks like I was right.

which means what? do you know what they were doing leading up to the tour? possibly putting the finishing touches on the album? readying their plan for world domination? enjoying time with their loved ones before heading around said world? goldenvoice cannot make a band play, maybe they just said "no". for a festival that is at the leading edge for breaking talent i'm sure there was an offer put out to them.

It looks like they took the month off to prepare for their big tour, but whoever is their tour manager would've been smart in making Coachella among their first stops. I saw them already since and will just watch another band I haven't seen already if they play.
Outdoor Theatre for Grizzly Bear. If not, I don't wanna see them there. That's the only and best fitting place for them.

6/02 - Bjork - Palladium
6/07-08 - Jubilee Fest

Doesn't it seem like GB's wave has already kind of crested for now? It seems like Coachella gets acts that are just about to get huge, not the other way around.

I was in the front row for Grizzley Bear at the Palladium. Awesome show. I heard a Fleet Foxes song on the speakers while I was eating at Hometown Buffet, mixed in with other "softer" bands. I got so excited that I got another plate!
