I had every intention of seeing X at Coachella on Sunday but as I walked up over the hill I heard a familar buzz. It was the Yea Yeah Yeah's playing a cover of "Human Fly". I had to stop and get my buzz on. I'm still a little pissed that I missed X because I'm sure they killed it. Plus, if I was in that tent earlier I could've stayed and scored a better spot for the Kills. But I have bad taste in music...really bad.
Odd, your avatar is from some Guitar Center add I recieved in the mail this morning.
Maybe I should buy that synth.
What would Carl Jung do?
Hey yeah douchebags, way to interpret "for example" as "here's an example that proves a general theory about Sahara dwellers."
Also, tell me more about Miley Cyrus' catalog, I really am curious now.
Ron Paul 2012!

I admit it, I have the worst taste in music. I like anything I can dance to, I love older music that reminds me of when I use to be wild and free (that includes classic rock and hip hop), I hadn't really heard any "electronic beats" up until Coachella 2008, and if it isn't mainstream I probably haven't heard it unless it was at coachella. For me Coachella is the experience and hanging out with good friends, not so much about which bands I can say I have seen.
Have you ever thought about researching the music, Audra? I mean, since you're there and all. It can make it way better.
I do. Once the lineup comes out each year my lovely sister makes me several discs and I listen to them in my car. My problem is I don't have a home computer anymore so I don't have anywhere to store music other than burnt cd's and those are hard to follow along with since its usually just a mash up of different artists. So I can't tell you who is singing what. I am all about learning new things, I just don't really have many ways of doing so. But that is one of my new years resolutions, to actually have a clue what you all are talking about and not be so sheltered from new things.
i just purchased my ticket and i know it's still a year away but oh my gosh i am so freaken excited i'm pissing glitter. :O najahed

What makes this funny is the very people they're talking about are the ones that would hear really good EDM and find it to be too weird or boring, or something else.
There are in fact people that just want to listen to music WITH BEATS, whether it is hip or dance music, or whatever. Basically whatever they can shake their ass to

You're right, but I think what he was saying that based on that particular person's bad taste in music that he as a Coachella-goer would be a Sahara person based on his musical tastes, as opposed to saying that all people in the Sahara like shitty rap music.
This of course meaning, that if Soulja Boy fans were to be at Coachella they would probably spend most of the time in the Sahara.

Or they'd spend most of their time at the mainstage where the artists they'd probably recognize were. I get that Drinkey is trying to establish that "Black people just gotta dance", but come on, man.
hahaha i was just reading waaaay into what had been said originally, and basing it off of a lot of "regular" (IE non-music nerds) that i know and how they judge music.
I think you'd find plenty of not-black people at a Soulja Boy (or whatever equivalent) show
For the record, I love dancing.
