I'm In
"It began as a mistake" - Charles Bukowski
Wanted:
1. Nachos
2. Puppies
It's the RAVEest place I could ever dream of! The production is out of this world. The vibes would be unreal, just like ********* but even GREATER! The people, the freedom, the nudity, the activities, the mountains, the lasers, the stages, there's a BEACH!
Making this happen. NOW.
Come one come all to experience the treasures of Canada & Shambhala!
That looks damn cool. I won't be able to get the time off to go though. I'm taking to much with Coachella etc. You'll all have fun.
Bonnaroo is out of the picture. have my eye on a new prize.
I'll be taking the bus from Phoenix up there.
Feather, take the bus. It's an interesting and fun experience. You get to see parts of the country you never knew existed.
Go ahead Monklish, twist that into whatever raping innuendo you wish. It's not likely you'll get raped on the bus.
How the fuck are not allowed to bring alcohol? ITS CANADA FOR CHRIST SAKES!
ohhhhh mannnnn. I'm getting more and more excited about this the more I thnk about it. I haven't been out to BC since I was like, 12.
No glass is very important.... They don't like what alcohol does to folks much, they're fine with everything else though, I've heard story's of pills in glass and the people there just put them in plastic bags.... and about pot plants being planted around there....
Does anyone plan on renting a car while they're up here?? I'm thinking of going the bus route...
The rest of it is on youtube on the side, but there is the start of it..... its rad
And Bassnectar
But nothing beats raving all night dancing with the sunrise

The no alcohol rule makes for a better fest overall in my opinion. You can sneak booze if you're resourceful however they are very thorough in terms of the search. Last year I noticed booze everywhere, and once you are in the fest no one really cares. Although I was in the artist campsite which doesn't have the alcohol restriction so I'm slightly biased.
In terms of a rave, you wont beat the vibe at Shambhala anywhere. Pretty unreal. I recommend catching the beach sunrise set. Last year it was Benga. Years before it's been Bassnectar, who if you've been to Shamhala more then once, you will likely be a bit tired of.
It's a marathon though. I felt physically sick the two nights I actually made it until 10am. And my brain took at least a week to recover from chemical abuse.
it just happened.
it just clicked.
I am getting to this. NO MATTER WHAT. I said this for Sea of Dreams when there was basically no hope, and I ended up having one of the best weekends of my life.
oh god.
oh god.
it's happening.
Hmmmm, very interesting and ~8 hours from my door.
This place looks tailor made for acid...
Wait, no booze? None in the venue but camping is cool or none period?

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
as for airports-- what is the recommended airport to fly into?
and if anyone is considering a carpool (which is kind of ridiculous, I understand 3 days of driving is a little much) let me know. it will be summer time, why not a little roadtrip adventure before the greatness of Shambhala?
Airports would probably be YLW, Kelowna, I live an hour from this airport then it is about 5 hours to get to Shambhala from Kelowna, or maybe Calgary, but I say map quest it.....
I've found some cheap flights from LAX to Kelowna with West jet...
