    What's needed is:
    Hieroglyphics
    Freestyle Fellowship
    El-P
Kool Keith, Dr. Dooom, Dr. Octagon, etc.

If Detox ever comes out, Dr. Dre.

    Yeah I forgot about that.

Crown City Rockers would be cool. Saw them at the beginning of the summer and they really put on a fun show.

You don't actually remember the early part of the decade, do you? Here are some songs that I remember off the top of my head:

I can find more I'm sure. I know these aren't as bad as BEP's latest stuff but early 2000s rap is not something to be proud of at all.

I hope the Deltron confirmation is legit, 3030 was my anthem in high school.

dam, did you really have to post the videos? lol. i remember those SOB's. i would have to write a comprehensive essay to describe the difference between hip hop earlier in the decade to where it is now. underground earlier in the decade was something to be proud of, now even they have it confused. i couldnt describe the change in a few sentences.

in regards to my previous post, i just wanted to take a shot at BEP and Lil Fuck wad.

did anyone catch PUTS this year? when they opened their show and said "This aint no lupe fiasco bull shit" ...

Def Jux really made the beginning of this decade special... can't sleep on that.

there was so much good hip hop in the early 2000's, def jux mos def represented back then and is still doing it.

aesop rock is still leading the way. his show was the best hip hop act i have seen at coach over the last 3 years. aesop rock's latest album, none shall pass, is on point. almost as brilliant as his others. maybe just as much. i here aes is living in SF now and is working with a different producer from there....i forget which one though...

On a side note, MF doom lives in LA now i believe and rocks shows at Low End Theory occasionaly. He has an album out with Daedaelus that just came out recently i think....Daedaelus was selling it at his show a few weeks ago. i didnt have cash on me so i didnt copp...anyone have it?

I dont understand how u can say its embarasing to be associated w/ hiphop in 2009... So it may not be as dominant as it once was in the underground, doesnt mean theres not still great hiphop being created.

I saw more hiphop acts in 09 then i did in 08. Atmosphere was just brilliant as well as P.U.T.S and Themselves.

I thought Del was going to be there in 09 considering he performed at Street Scene, so 2010 is def believable.
Coachella 07 (the introduction), 08 (the bands), 09 (the documentary), 10 (the people i came with), 11 (the relationship test... we passed), 12 (whatever the weather, Dirty Epic forever), 13 (the year of the troll)

Yes. I loved Themselves. Almost forgot I saw them but damn that was unique. Coachella better always bring the hip-hop. That's part of what makes it cool - I don't have to be around hipsters at every show.

crazy huh... it was the first i got to see Del live, though ive been a fan for years. All i ever heard was he gets too fucked up to perform, but when he came out he killed it!!!!!

And yeah, i totally understand ur comment now. It is embarassing what people consider good hiphop now a days... But i have faith COACHELLA will always keep it real and search far and wide in an effort to bring in the best hiphop acts around.

I've seen some amazing lupe shows but 09 at coach was kinda lame, poor time slot and for the first couple songs the sound was terrible, only the monitors were on...he has great onstage energy though, every time
