Could Pavement Headline?

Not that Billboard is right but according to a recent article they believe Pavement to be a "rumored" headliner...What do you think?

i think they'd be a great subheadliner, but i doubt they headline. then again, if it is their first reunion show i could see it being a big deal. i mean, i would fully support it but i think there would be backlash for a "bigger" headliner.

The Killers, regardless of how people feel about their music, put on a bells-&-whistles show. Jack Johnson...well, I see your point there.

I think the fact that other shows have been announced, and that diehards bought tickets for them already, hurts their likelihood of headlining. I mean, it's not completely impossible, but #2 seems far more likely. In any case, they will be there.

I vote for "Yes." Not because I believe that they will headline, but because I believe that they could. They certainly wouldn't be the worst or least famous headliner ever.

That said, they will sub-headline; it's almost a guarantee.

Explosions in the Sky have curated that same festival. So have The DirtyThree. So have The Mars Volta.

So have The Flaming Lips and My Bloody Valentine. Both hugely popular subheadliners of the past. Make sure you only pick the artists that help your argument though. That is the mature and balanced thing to do.

if there is a weak saturday, they could subheadline.. but i think the whole issue seems to be that the band is insisting on headlining their reunion..

i think the perfect solution is to have them headline a day at APW.. problem solved.
