i was making a reference to the longevity of this show. community college is typically two years, yet Jeff and co. seem to think they'll be in the hole for four years. i don't know how i feel about Community running for longer than two seasons if they opt to go that route.

I attended community college for 3 years. I know people who went 4-5 years. It all depends on how much shit you do outside of school, like finding ways to pay for it. Jeff and crew may be there for a while (although, I don't think any of them have that financial burden).

Anyways, I think that it's hilarious. Paintball episode wins.

Community has become the best comedy on TV. These last three episodes have been perfect. This 5 or so second long clip is my favorite moment from the show so far:





I think I liked that episode, "The Art of Discourse", a bit more than "Modern Warfare" but they were both excellent.

I totally get that show, but I was in choir and theatre through middle/high school and college, so I am the target demographic. However, I still LOLed at their little jabs.


Also, Jeff Winger should find reasons to be naked in every episode. Did anyone else squee a little bit when Jeff and Britta finally hooked up?! I love that they did the whole heat of passion thing that was cheesy in the way that those things are, but not in the way that saccharine sweet rom-coms are. It was hot.

season finale was lackluster and the ending was kinda OMGWTF. i guess Troy's reference to the shark jumping served as a warning that shit was about to get ridiculous.

personally, i'm all for a Jeff/Annie hook-up. the Jeff/Annie pairing has WAY MORE chemistry than either Jeff/Britta or Jeff/Slater. since the debate episode, i had a tendency to read something more in the smiles, glances and hugs Jeff and Annie would give each other. with that said, how silly is it for all the hotties in this show to fall for Jeff? did Slater have to be dragged back into this? why the need to unnecessarily complicate things?

p.s.: Troy, Abed and Pierce need some lovin' too, Community writers.

I think the existence of romantic relationships in most shows has the potential to bog down any good writing or storylines, especially in comedy...I wish they were avoided altogether for the most part

So, I didn't realize that this thread existed until just now. And if this has been posted before, well, sorry. (not really.)

Anyway, the guy that plays Troy is also a writer on 30 Rock.

He also has a comedy troupe called Derrick, and they're funny.

Finally, he also raps under the name Childish Gambino. It's not bad. So far he only has a mixtape I think, and a lot of those songs are really just him rapping over Sleigh Bells, Grizzly Bear and Animal Collective songs. Here is an example:
