So The Soup thread was getting filled up with Community posts so I thought I might as well make a new thread for it since it's pretty great. Best new show on and is also a lot better than The Office right now. Joel McHale is of course awesome. It's funny to see Alison Brie (Trudy, Peter's wife from Mad Men) in such a different role too.

I watched 5 minutes of this show and it was apparent that it was fucking terrible. They are all trying to hard to be 30 Rock-funny and it totally fails.

At least for me I start a thread where people have shown general interest in other threads (like people did for this in The Soup thread). I'd rather not have a bunch of posts about another show in that thread. That's why.

Yeah, Parks and Rec. has gotten pretty good this season too. For me it looks like NBC has got a pretty solid Thursday night now. I think 30 Rock comes back in October too.

I couldn't even finish the first episode. This show is absolutely dreadful. While McHale is an appealing presence on The Soup he is completely out of his depth here. He makes Charlie Sheen look like a great comedic actor. The writing is so smug and self-aware. I'd agree that it's a bad attempt to fit the 30 Rock mold. 30 Rock is lightening in a bottle. It's not a cookie cutter formula anyone can just follow and expect to gain instant comedic success from.

I have a feeling that if it goes the way of lost, it might be okay. First season total bullshit, second season starts going somewhere. You all should watch it and tell me if its worth my time.

I really like the show. It has a lot of really funny moments. It's not all gold but I think it's going to get better and better. Flashforward could turn out to be really good depending on how they go with it.

Parks and Rec is crappy. It tries way to hard.

Flashforward is definitely not worth your time. I was really excited because I like the director and the premise sounded cool, but wow. The writing is a bit obvious and the characters are pretty cliche. I think the dealbreakers for me were the constant condescending-as-fuck "clues" before and after commercials.

Remember the kangaroo. It might be important. *shows scene from 2 seconds ago in which a kangaroo hopped down the post-apocalyptic-looking street

Jesus, does the mainstream public really need Cliff's Notes to watch a mildly cryptic TV show? I would like to think they don't.

Oh, and Community sucks so hard. And I love Joel McHale! He's from my hometown, even, so I really really wanted to like it.
