Soundgarden is such a terrible idea.
Muse and Pavement make sense.
0% ????
lets see: they are coach alumns, they have a massive fan base, they have a lot of new material, there are about 15,000 people in LA who bought tickets to see them and didnt get to and if GV didn't at least see them as a draw, well then fuck GV. and when I asked them LV about what they planned to do next year they told me they'd be back touring with new material.
The only way Underworld will not be at coach is if someone has health problems.
marinade in that.
Rhythm is a dancer.
Damon would have to make a lot of progress on the new album for Gorillaz to even be a remote possibility.
One page later, and I still don't understand what separates this thread from all the other dozen of baseless speculation threads. There's not a shred of evidence that suggests any band has been confirmed, so why the fuck does this thread get bumped?
Their shows will eventually become profitable. Also, keep in mind that they signed a pre-paid contract with LiveNation for something like $120M, so I don't think that they'd do a one-off show to make more money. They're already paid for the tour, and any type of profit that they receive is from various bonuses.

Nothing's off limits. A different company owning their touring contract is a large barrier, but you can buy anything that you really want if they're willing to sell. Not sure if Paul T would deem it profitable to spend (just a guess) $5M for a one-off U2 show. As far as the U2 contract goes, they get their $120M, as long as they meet their touring obligations. Livenation's not stupid. They wouldn't have allowed all the claws to be built unless they saw a large profit in the future.

Well, if I remember correctly U2 were asked last year and it was going to be a stripped down set without the Claw. 5 million doesn't seem like that big of a deal especially since U2 is a gtd sell out. Did anyone figure out how much was Paul? And they could have 2 really weak headliners to make up the cost.
Seriously though,U2 and Muse are already doing a tour together this year.
Why would GV want to duplicate that by acquiring both of those acts for next year, that's just plain lazy-I say one or the other, but not both.
Yeah but after this year,it doesn't sound as appealing.
ok now this i would support. I just cant stand the new U2, the music or who theyve become. But to cover a classic like that... Thats completely different. And yeah if they only did it for COACHELLA it would still hold major significance over the rest of the tour.
I bet they do.... fucking jerkoffs.
Coachella 07 (the introduction), 08 (the bands), 09 (the documentary), 10 (the people i came with), 11 (the relationship test... we passed), 12 (whatever the weather, Dirty Epic forever), 13 (the year of the troll)
- PEARL JAM WHY YOU HATE COACHELLA? -
You should post that one in the Hurt/Heal thread.

EVERYONE.
if GV's Coachella seemed so corporate to him.. then why would they headline GV's Detour six months later?
they DO need to make up their SoCal date.. just sayin'
do you just type the same shit every year? these are all the same acts you predicted last year!
no shit sherlock.. Kanye West '09 is NOT the same thing as Kanye West '06..
