Yeah I have a feeling by the end of this political season I'm going to have less Facebook friends then to begin with. That's actually all right by me anyways because about 95% of the pro Romney people I haven't seen or spoken to in years anyways.

the Romney campaign has been paying social networks to "promote" their pages and tweets so I see the Romney and Ryan facebook pages way more than anyone should have to. it also conveniently tells me which of my friends are fans of their pages.

I couldn't believe the amount of hate generated towards women in my facebook feed over the last few nights. Men complaining about being lectured about lady parts and men and women both equating birth control usage to being sluts. it seemed to reach its peak during Sandra Fluke's time last night. I can almost understand men being ignorant on the subject, but ladies? wtf?!

I have a friend who just got married about 6 weeks ago. His wife still makes posts involving the word "hubby" and she constantly rotates her profile picture with several different iterations of her in a wedding dress.

My question is this: How long is it socially acceptable to continue toting to the world that yes, you just got married? I can understand having your wedding photo as your profile picture for a little while, but after a bit of time goes by, enough is enough.

I'd say about a month is acceptable post-wedding facebook obsession timeframe, if it includes honeymoon photos or mentions. After the honeymoon everyone should just move on.

This is not a facebook post, but an email I received from my brother and then the reply from his best friend and brother of his wife. I don't know if I'm supposed to take this seriously. I feel like I have completely lost any ability to relate to my brother and his friends. This shit is just weird whether they are trying to be funny or not.

I've seen women have their wedding photos up as their profiles pics for literally two years after the wedding. honestly, i think it's because it's the only professional photos that people ever have taken of themselves, so actually look really good in them.
