What about Santana, are they still considered to be a Latin act? That would be awesome to see them.

Hey Juloxx, I'd be disgusted if that shit wasn't so fucking funny.
You know, but that's valid because if we are all gonna die anyway shouldn't we be enjoying ourselves now? You know, I'd like to quit thinking of the present, like right now, as some minor insignificant preamble to something else.

    Translation:
they're kind of latin.. they're from El Paso TX but it seems that they are ashamed of that... actually, El Paso never treated them very good, that might be why.

I would rather see an at the drive-in reunion.

So far all I'm reading in this thread is a lot of "taco taco taco." Bring out El Vez.

yup, Jim does love EL Paso, his band's cd (Sleepercar) name is West Texas, so that says a lot.

I wouldn't say the same about omar and cedric, they've compaint a lot about EP not being supportive when ATDI was starting out, which is kind of true, but I still see them here every once in a while, so who knows.

Cedric and Omar had been playing quite a bit at Back Yard Gigs here in East L.A. this past summer. Imagine my surprise when I look over and BAM, I see them and Ryan Gossling Hanging out then start Jamming.

AS Far as El Vez, I don't think his hair would hold up in the heat. especially with his jumpsuits on. Although I think the Crowd would appreciate his version of Rubber Necking. What ABout El Vez vs. JxL in the Sahara?

    Hello Seahorse!
I've been a fan of "Won't Say Anything" for a year now. Just got Bestia and the rest of Hoy a las Ocho, and hope they're just as good.

there are definitely some great ideas in here. i would love to see calle 13 at coachella - i think they'd really blow away the crowd. there's also a new colombian hip hop group called bomba estereo that would be sick.

by the way, many of the bands that you guys mention are on a cool label called nacional records - http://nacionalrecords.com. they have fabulosos cadillacs, nortec collective, plastilina mosh, mexican institute of sound, quiero club, hello seahorse, etc. nacional has a great 21 song sampler for free at amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Nacional-Recor.../dp/B002VIU5PE. thought you may want to check it out.

no more El Gran Silencio, that's ok... I would really want to see Bajofondo in the bill again since they had a huge conflict with Macca

    Easy: PLASTILINA MOSH!!

Have a listen. All their stuff is fantastic. And english- friendly. I pop them in at all the parties. soo much fun. I have yet to see them live, and will always hope someone at Goldenvoice gives them a chance. They're awesome, and will blow all past 'token latin bands' way out of the water. sooo good.
