    Default What about Latin music?

Well every year thounsands of latins cross the border, especially from Mexico to be part of this awesome project. that's why there are a few latin bands playing there every year.

Last year I was so happy because I saw MOLOTOV, EL GRAN SILENCIO, MEXICAN INSITUTE OF SOUND, BAJO FONDO.

I hope and I will pray for FABULOSOS CADILLACS can make it next year.

what do you think? what latin band do you want to listen at Coachella?

    Cheers.

Kinky is not as good as they used to be, and the same goes for Zoé. I pretty much think they suck nowadays.

this is my "latin wishlist" for 2010:

    - Los Amigos Invisibles
    - Telefunka
    - Troker
    - Buenavista Social Club
    - Plastilina Mosh
    - Nortec Collective
    - Los Auténticos Decadentes
    - Los Fabulosos Cadillacs
    - Mexican Institute of Sound (I know they played '09 but they were THAT good)

OK, I guess we need to get an OFFICIAL LOS FABULOSOS CADILLACS REQUEST THREAD going on.... they would be the SHIT!!!

I recently saw at the Rock en el Rio Festival (Juarez, Mexico) the following bands, this is what I think:
    http://festivalinternacionalrockenelrio.com/

Zoe - ok set, but get pretty fucking boring
Amigos Invisibles - AWESOME, this was like 2 weeks before ACL
Kinky - Very intense, I had not heard their latest album but it's very good.
Molotov - meh.. been there done that

Quiero Club - They would be an interesting addition to Coachella
    Los Bunkers - boring
Jumbo - mmm.. I would prefer a Zurdok reunion

    Other interesting bands would be:

    Titan - at the sahara!!!
Nortec - I agree with some of you
    Hello Seahorse - fuck yeah
Cafe Tacuba - only if they release a new album by April
    Babasonicos, maybe

ps...that Silverio guy is FCUKING AWESOME!

    Any band....
As long as they don't play any of that Mexican yodeling/tuba/polka/trumpet crap that you always hear coming from blown out 6x9's bouncing around under the front seat of Julio's 1982 Ford F150 that proudly sports a big ass decal of a big fucking cow or bull on the passenger and drivers doors.
    I hate that shit...

Any of these "Latin" groups would be a huge hit at Coachella.
Especially the 3rd group. I believe the first two may be some kind of "cover" bands...

Los pendejos que piden a Mana no se ni por que chingados se le ocurre ir a Coachella. Mejor comprense un pinche CD de Britney Spears y Michael Jackson y metanselos por el fundillo. No mamen como chingados piden a Mana...

For those of you who don't speak Spanish... asking for Mana is like asking Goldenvoice to book the Jonas Brothers.

Asking for Mana is like asking for Bon Jovi. Period.

Los Amigos Invisibles put on a really good show. In '05 (or early '06) I saw them at Bimbos in SF and my gf and I danced our asses off, as did the entire crowd. I don't know what they are up to now, but they'd be great to see again.

Kinky hasn't played since 2004. Not that their latest album is that amazing, but they're always a pretty alright live show.
