So, who is all going to put down the deposit in a few weeks? Who all plans on attending and what will it depend on. Lets start some early planning.

Count me in for now. Still need to register but I have full intentions of attending and the only issue for me is money. Flying anywhere from Alaska is expensive.

Registered today. Tix go on sale in 2 weeks, so you might want to get your registrations done. Planning to do Glasto, then hop in a car and drive straight to Roskilde, which kicks off 3 days later.

I'm confident we will find RT airfare for around $900. I wanted to tell Amy in the other thread that 5K is a ridiculous cost. So Zizzzles, when you read this, understand you can do this entire thing for 2K or less.

Yeah, my 5k figure included all the time in Prague, London, Brighton, etc.

Current estimates for me for 2010:
Roundtrip from LAX: $1200
Glasto ticket: $300
National Express coach: $85
two nights in London hostels: $90
misc. busfare/airport transfers: $10
tent: $80
sleeping bag/blanket/pillow (optional...I did without any of these the entire weekend but don't want to do that again): $30
wellies: $18
food/drink/souvenirs: $400
flashlight: just bring one from home. camp is not generally as well lit as Coachella and if you arrive after dark, you will need a strong one to set up your tent, and to find it at the end of the night if it isn't in an obvious, easy even when exhausted/drunk/high to find location
batteries: ($12 if you bring them from home, $30 if you don't, $25 if you bring some but not enough to last the whole trip and have to buy more)
alcohol/drugs: no idea, a LOT

Also, if you don't have a passport, get working on that right away. Don't do what I did and run around at the last minute to get every piece of bullshit the LA Federal Building demanded in order to give my my expedited passport in time (birth certificate, $170, proof of purchased flight). And I'm lucky because if I wasn't in LA, getting a passport in two weeks would have been much more difficult.

That's relieving to hear. Kinda hoping this trip isn't gonna cost me an arm and a leg. I plan on being in and out for Glasto unfortunately. Roskilde sounds tempting though...

My passport was renewed last month so i'm gold there. I just need to put down my deposit and then look at airfare.

Question. If you don't buy the tickets when the full amount is due, do they refund or keep the deposit?

Why do you think you know me? For christs sake as much as I post I would think you would know by now. I'm not going to Bonnaroo next year. It's either Glastonbury or S. Africa. Both are in the summer. Also, everything went right this year for Roo and that won't happen again but maybe if the same crew goes again in 2011 I will consider. Chances are Roo will never have a lineup with my two favorite bands again though so i'm not too concerned.

Pay the fuck attention next time.

So can we get a formal headcount on the first page. Separate lists for maybes and definites, plus ones when applicable, etc.

Count me as a maybe. I will try for a ticket on Sunday. but it will be difficult to gather the funds required for the whole trip. Still, better try just in case. And if I can go to Glasto, it almost certainly means no Coachella. So yeah, if Coachella looks like my sig, so much for Glasto, but if not, it's either off to Glasto or staying around for Coachella, depending on what's in the piggy bank.

Is everyone getting teepees or roughing it in tents, and if so, where? If you want to be centrally located, I recommend Pennard Hill, which requires getting there hella early. If you want to be near the coach entrance/exit, the field next to the Peel Tent is good.
